Welcome to Blytheville, since you said you just moved here.

And as far as your weight is concerned, trust me--you are not alone in that respect either! And this is a great time to make a new start and get more exercise and eat more healthy foods.

I'd like to suggest that you consider meeting some people at a local church. Since you have a lovely daughter, church could be especially beneficial to her as she also meets new friends. And, of course, I believe it's important to raise children in church.

Good luck and Happy New Year to you!

I will tell you about the clean fun club in Blytheville. We have line dancing on Friday nights. It is simply that, clean fun. We line dance. But if you don't know how to dance that is okay, just come watch. It is a lot of fun and your daughter can come with you. I don't know how old she is but any kids that do come have a blast. Everyone there is so nice and I have made lots of friends there.

Well, you're not going about it the right way. Your answer to the person who told you about the Clean Fun club was mean--and wrong.

I still wish you good luck, but I have a feeling several of us (including me) have been snookered.

Wow what a jerk.Someone takes the time to reach out and tell you about their club and you want to be an ass.No wonder you're depressed and have no friends.

You know.. people are going to tell you that a bar isn't a good place to meet people. They will tell you to go to church and clean fun clubs.. lol. I don't know? I think going out to some of the clubs is a good idea for making friends that will introduce you to new friends.. eventually you will form or join a circle. Get out there.. more than once! Try everything at least 3 times!!

And when you get out there... My best advice to you no matter where you go is fake it.. lol Don't go out depressed! Go out and have a good time, be friendly, upbeat, and positive.. be confident! Even if you have to fake it people will take to that and flock to it. Eventually people will treat you as a happy confident person and your fake will become reality! Nobody wants to join a pitty party! Love yourself and others will too! 90% of the time people are going to react to you the way you do!

Good luck! Hope ya get out there! There's plenty of good people here! Have fun and smile no matter where and what you are doing.. it's contageous!! CHIN UP!!

There's not a thing in the world wrong with going to a bar or restaurant/bar to meet people.Alot of people you meet in bars also go to church.Nothing wrong with the Fun Club either if thats your thing.Being positive and friendly will attract people to you no matter where you're at.
