Oh come on!- Wal-mart is the only game in town. They have ZERO competition, and have you not stood in line there lately?! Always packed.

Plus is doesn't just serve Blytheville but all the surrounding towns and rural area. If the close because of anything it would be money they lose from all the shoplifting that goes on there.

Tits true, Wal-Mart is closing down. A new business is going in in it's spot. It's called "Pimp's and Ho's" . We will offer a full selection of clothes and accessories to fit all you wanna-be pimp's and you nasty durty ho's. Watch for our upcoming ad in the "Wooden Nickel" sale paper that can be picked up inside Wal-Mart now. On a Side note, we are negoiating with "SlingShot and Ding Dong" to make a special guest appearance during our Inaugural Grand Opening.

Not just wal-mart. I heard they are closing every hotel and every business in the city. In fact, they are keeping it quiet, but they are closing Blytheville. All the stealing, you know. Just can't find good people. Blytheville is shutting down and moving out. Can't make it around here. too much theft, too many no account people that won't work. They tried to make it, they thought they could survive here, but you know how it is. Why anyone would come here and think they could make it is a mystery. Blytheville is closing down for good.

There. Satisfied??

this is only hearsay so take it as you will...remember the big announcement last year (maybe the year before) about osceola getting a super center, then when it came to ground breaking date it was told that it would be a little longer than expected...then it wasnt too much after that when the rumors started about blytheville's super center closing and now those same rumors have started again..well some are saying that blytheville was given a little more time to make changes, get things on track before a final yea or nay would be given as to what the plans would be in osceola...again this is only hearsay but it sure makes a person think hmmmm

our walmart is disgusting..they blame it on the people that shop there...but go to dyersburg or even west memphis walmart..they are both outstanding stores..they're clean and well organized..i think the problem here lies with the employees...not to say they are totally to blame...it all starts with a good manager...they need to get rid of him..he obviously cant manage his employees or his store...there are only a few depts that stay clean and organized...half the time the floors are dirty..things are spilled and not cleaned up...no shopping carts to be found in the store..they are piled up at the cart corral spilling over into the parking lot...GET RID OF THE MANAGER AND THIS STORE MIGHT ACTUALLY MAKE IT..we were in dyersburg walmart a few weeks ago..it was on a sunday and after a weekend it was clean...the floors were so clean they were actually a little slick..but needless to say you didnt find things laying all over the floor where lazy customers and lazy workers didnt pick it up...this walmart stinks

Thanks for clearing that up. It would be a bad thing for this town to lose the only real store we have.

Blytheville Wal-Mart's status has nothing to do with whether they turn Osceola Wal-Mart into a supercenter. They don't decide to build a supercenter according to how close there already is one to that area. Jonesboro has two in the same town.
