My personal belief is that Obama is all fluff and no substance. Sure, he seems to have some good ideas, but no real course on how to get there. He basically has no experience that would qualify him as president and seems to only say what he thinks people want him to say. I couldn't care less about him being Black, or his religious ideas. I don't think for an instance that there will be the Islamic White House and all the other crap that is spewed across the forums. People seem to think the president has more power than he actually does. On the other hand, I couldn't back someone like McCain under any circumstances either. So in the end, if I even bother voting, I will vote for Nader or some other candidate. I'm not playing the lesser of two evil card between Obama and McCain.....neither is fit for the White House.

All that voting for Nader will do will be to pull votes away from one of the candidates who actually have a chance of getting elected. You and I both know that Nader has no chance in hell of winning the election. In effect, you will still be "voting" for one of the candidates in the two major parties.

Because he's black, boring, a Democrat, has a name that sounds like a terrorist, has big ears, has a wife trying to be like Jackie O,etc... I haven't heard one middle aged white guy (even staunch Democrats) say they will vote for him.

Attention America!!......Now is the time to quit being led blind in their game of Blind Mans Bluff for President of the United States of America! United we stand divided we fall! Americans of all color who love their country and thier freedom better wake up! Yes its great that a woman, a african american, can run for President this day and time. But this is American anyone should be able to. But it should be we the peoples choice to elect and we the peoples right to see all the candidates for who they were! The controlled media has not been their for America! They have made America divide using race as the trump card! How can someone that came from nowhere overnight and seems to have relations with haters of America and the way we were,(you see i say were cause America is dividing) And the controlled media pulling the trump out blinds America to all the faults of someone who wants to run our country (which he thinks is 57 states?? hmm) Keep using the trump when his voting record is unbelievable, also when he has ties with terrorist and No respect for our flag or National Anthem! And it just goes on and on! Stop and ask yourself...for your country...for your family... Am I voting for my color or my country! All those who have died fighting for your rights your freedom your family need Americans of all color to unite back together stand up for your country get out of their Blind mans Bluff! Get into Your America! Be proud of Your Country once again! And say We are Proud to be An American. With our flag waiving high! And yes....Its' God Bless America!

Democrats have employed the tactic of keeping religion out of politics for years because of the large draw by conservatives. Republicans accuse the liberals of scaring minorities and playing the race card. Finally we are put into a position where both candidates are focused on the middle. Voters who have their liberal views will vote liberal. Voters who have their conservative views will vote conservative. The question MUST be asked. Who has the experience?
What successful company would ever hire a 24-25 yr/old straight out of college as president of a multi-million dollar business? The perfect candidate DOES NOT exist. Never has. Before you vote, ask yourself...Who is the most qualified.

I agree that both candidates are so far in the middle that on most issues it wouldn't even matter which one you voted for. The dividing issue for me is the war. Unless something changes my mind, I will vote for the person who has a withdrawal plan. If they both have one, then I'll have a tougher decision to make.

Here are the two responses I agree with:
1)He doesn't seem Christian.
2)He's inexperienced.

But exiting Iraq won't fix our problems here.

Rayzor, that may very well be, but I'm not going to directly vote for someone I don't like. Should it come down to a vote one way or the other situation, then I just wouldn't vote at all. And seeing as how I don't like either major party candidate enough to deficate on them, whether I cause one or the other to be elected is moot. I never did like that "vote for a major party candidate or you're wasting your vote" rhetoric. People should vote for whom they think is capable of doing the best job no matter what - NOT the lesser of two evils. If you aren't going to do that, then don't bother with the process to begin with. Then again, perhaps NOT voting would be the thing to do.....imagine the confusion within the system if NO ONE showed up to vote.......lol The Electoral College wouldn't be able to do their wonderful interpretation of election algebra then. I would love to see that happen. I feel as if these candidates are being shoved down my throat and I really dislike them both.

If you all noticed when he first started running,he was all but lost for words and sounded illerate. Then he got white people behind him and all of a sudden,he acts like he knows what is going on.He sure got educated real quick.I talked to a lifelong Democrat today in Chicago and he said Obamas wife was definitely a racist and I sure don`t like that.He said all his friends and co-workers was not going to vote democrat because of her.

The last thing I heard from him about Iraq was that he believed America should stay 100 years if need be. Also, I agree exiting Iraq won't necessarily fix all problems here, but I just don't believe the President has enough power to fix all the economic problems. And we are spending billions of dollars on a war that the majority of Americans don't agree with. That money can be put back into America's economy and help fix some of our issues. But that's just my opinion, and you know what they say about those!:)

The 100 year quote is a misrepresentation of what he said. He was indicating a presence which isn't any different than our presence in other countries throughout the world. You may not like it and want every troop brought immediately home but that would not be in our nations vital interest. We may not have gotten there for the right reasons but reasons change.
