PLEASE STICK TO THE SUBJECT: Seriouly, I invite people and they act like they are scared or something. Do they litteraly think the roof is going to fall down? Why do people immediately say,'NO" at the thought of sitting in a church house for an hour? What is the problem?

Most people believe church is for the christian. But church is not for the perfect because there is none perfect but God. It is for the sinner and i really think that people let that stop them from going.

Why? Because they've been told since they were born about the big invisible guy in the sky who will strike them down but who also loves them very much. It's so ingrained in their minds that this is true, that they are scared of something that doesn't and can't possably exist. They're afraid this invisible man will cause lightning to strike them. They have no idea that the crap they've been taught since they were children is all lies.

These are the same people who don't believe in trolls hiding under bridges or ghosts in the woods but they'll believe stories about a guy in the sky.

Weird.

Because depending on the church you attend, it can be scary. I went with a friend to a church and what she thought was a perfectly normal service was very scary to me. People screaming out proclaiming to be possessed with the holy ghost. All I wanted to do was run out. My friend said, what did you think? I said honestly the only thing they were missing was snake rituals. I didn't mean to offend her, but it was a whole different experience and not one that I want to experience again. I am not saying anything negative about any one particular religion because that is an individuals choice, but that is why I don't go to different churches.

The reason I don't go is because I do not believe in any of that crap the bible states. A virgin can not get pregnant plain and simple, no ifs ands buts about it. You can't just look at, touch someone and they become pregnant. You are not gonna go to some great place in the sky and reunite with dead family members and friends and live happily ever after, oh, and maybe grow some wings while you are there too.

I could go on for days and days about the BS the bible spits out, but I will just leave it at that.

Another reason I don't go is because I refuse to be around a bunch of hypocrites. I know a preacher here in Arkansas that has numerous affairs. Been with him when he rented hotel rooms to screw these women in. And I am sorry to say this but you honestly never know what a person really does with their life. For all you know, as soon as church gets out, the person you thought was a true great christian, goes home and wacks it to child porn or worse.

No matter how well you think you know somebody, there is always another side to that person that they don't want you to find out about.

I know I got a little off topic and I apologize. I am not trying to start a fight with anyone. If you choose to go to church and that makes you happy, then hey, go for it. Bottom line the reason I won't go is because I don't believe, has nothing to do with being scared.

I have a hard time going to church myself. I believe in God. However, I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. I can't relax. i have tried my best to become involved in a church, but my low self esteem gets the best of me.

I don't go because the christian religion is a total load of crap. All organized religions are. Why would anyone go and sit for any length of time just to listen to some long-winded ignoramus blow hot air about stuff they don't really know anything about and can't prove in the first place?

I don't think you have to go to church in order to worship. A church is only a building. You can praise whichever God you want from home or wherever you wish.

I agree. I think there is intelligent order to everything but not beleive man's written word. Also not good to be with hypocrites as they are bad influence on the truth.

I didn't got to church for a long time because I didn't think I was worthy. Then someone told me that church is for sinners and we are all sinners(even the preacher) and I understand things alot different now.

I have not been to church in about 2 years. My wife don't like to go and my kids love to go. To be honest the reason a lot of people don't go to church including me is that we are lazy, want to go fishing, watch sports or just simply stay in the bed. I am christian. God is real you can believe in him or not your choice. I just don't understand atheists. And I am to weak to witness to them as well.

I don't believe for many reasons. I am not fighting with you and I don't want to start a big debate. Just explain to me how it is scientifically possible for a woman to get pregnant without having intercourse. I know there is the artificial part but that was not available back then.
