foi the expense accounts of employees and see what the school is spending on reimbursements and you will get a good picture of how the tax dollars are being spent on fluff and that administration building was way to big for a school this size, they need to get rid of it. I think they had to have the big one because of so many employees at central office.

That would be a good job for an investigative reporter with the Blytheville Courier News!!

Why this isn't working around the usa? And this goes along with why there's problems with the postal service , etc. THE MONEY ROBBED FROM THE TAXPAYER ISN'T GOING WHERE THE MONEY IS SUPPOSE TO GO.

Let's take Chicago teathers for a great example. I simply despise when they say "it's for the children" and that they are not getting enough money IN SALARY (when they're getting avg $76,000 and the median avg income of the Chicago people is $45,000 ... I mean, COME ON) and on top of this, They Do not want to take a test ... cause they may GET FIRED FOR FAILING .... YET THERE JOB IS TO TEST YOUR KIDS!!!!! Oh, give us more TAX MONEY!!!!!!! That's why the kids are failing .... FIRST THE MONEY GOES TO THE RETIREES (71% automatic), THEN INTO THE SO-CALLED POOR TEACHERS POCKET, THEN HERE AND THERE , THE LAST IN LINE IS YOUR KIDS. Look at the educational failure stats in Chicago!!!! NO MORE TAXES!

@@@
Bottomline: they don't care about the kids. They want more money KNOWING THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK .....Why? because 71% of the tax money, that goes to education in IL, goes into the retirement fund exclusively ... same damn senario in every state. There is no way this is going to work!!!

Here in Blytheville, the school pays a testing company $60,000 per year for a service the school can do themself! What sense does that make??

In Arkansas, teachers can only have sixty minutes of duty a day. That is why schools do not have much recess anymore becaue they have to hire extra people to watch recess because the teachers do not believe it is their job to watch your kids, or even walk them to the bus. They could help the school out by doing some of these things, but do you think they will? They ought to fire every teacher who goes on strike. If they want to be professionals, they also need to stop dressing like slobs. Some of them look more like they should be cleaning the toilets than teaching.

How can the school operate losing over $2 million in funding??
Looks like hard times ahead!!
If the board is serious about saving money they only have to look as far as the central office and administration. I compared the central office administration and building level administration of Blytheville to Paragould and here is what I found. Blytheville has approximately 300 less students and four more principals/vice principals(approximately $280,000. Blytheville has two more working in technology department ($70,000), plus additional people in the offices of transportation, food service, and special programs such as special ed, title I, parent involvemnt, gifted, after school coordinator, and who knows what else (about $100,000 could be saved here_. Plus the salaries of the central office administration is high especially when you had monthly expenses for the superintendent. I guess this is the fluff we been hearing about. That is nearly a half million that could be saved without missing a beat. Also, if we have lost so many students then the faculty should be reduced in number which could be as much as another 250,000. I am sure there are additional classified staff that is not needed as well. I have not even checked there yet.

Bytheville has 240 classified staff compared to 195 at paragould, that is another $600,000 to 700,000. Looks like there really is a lot of fluff that is not necessary.

if she is the Pulliam i know from kennett she is a lier, theif and a sh?t starter and has no business teaching children really bad example for the kids. i would agree with the other poster we have to rid ourselves of the waste and stop trying to save jobs to the point that we mess up the childrens education. It is a good thing that i am not in charge i would be the most hated man on earth, of course i wouldn't last more than six months before there would be a hit out on my life.

the pulliams are a group of sisters that are all racists - you may recall the girl that got arrested for cutting line at walmart at kennett she was one of the nieces and they were all hollaring mistreatment and racism and when it went to court, it was all proven to be her fault and her alone that was mistreating others the one at blytheville was arrested for beating up her husband which i did not know any of them had husbands
