Your right there are not 3, there is WAY MORE! One just scored a 30, so you may wanna get your info from a new source! I personally know over 20 students who scored a 26, and that's only the ones I asked about scores! There are many more! My kids included:) And the parents do still support Blytheville, we hear it everyday! They are always trying to get us to shop in Blytheville, they stand up for your crappy Walmart, and bring their kids ElPuerto for lunch almost everyday, and since they have to drive so far, they also but breakfast for their kids every morning at McDonalds and such, which they wouldn't do if there kids went to Blytheville! They have to eat out every night because of sports schedules they don't have time at home to cook so there is 3 meals a day they buy from your town, do you spend that everyday?? So they are actually paying more than the you!!!! Hate to bust your bubble!!
Do they not serve breakfast or lunch anymore? Also, don't they get to walk to town starting in 3rd grade to buy lunch at the store? Can they take their lunch in a lunchbox?

I call bullshit. I doubt there are three students that have attended Cooter High School that have scored a 26 or above on the ACT during the last 10 years.
I moved from Blytheville School District to Cooter School in High School. I made this move my junior year, I graduated with a 3.98 GPA. I scored above a 26 on the ACT first time, 29 in fact. I now have a wonderful career, a nice house, a new car. Oh yeah, and I can walk to the beach from my house because it's two blocks from the ocean. I graduated from Cooter - I live in a place you save all year to spend 5 days in.... The reason I made this move? It's awesome here of course, and I didn't want to put my children in Blytheville School District. Children being allowed to paddle other children, band teachers making crude comments to students and dropping condoms from their pockets - this was my experience and I can only imagine it is worse now. I don't have any negativity to throw on Cooter, might not look as nice on the outside - but behind closed doors is that matters.

<quoted text>I personally don't care that you send your children to Cooter. It is your right, you pay tuition, which you would do if there was a good private school in town. However, I was one of those who thought Blytheville Schools wasn't a good place for my child. Circumstances happened that one of my children wanted to go to Blytheville. I can't begin to say how wrong I was about the schools. The entire staff has been just wonderful. I am always welcomed with a smile and how can I help you. I can send an email to one of the teachers and they get back to me within hours. My child has only seen one fight between two girls, besides that no disruptions in his classes. The quality of work doesn't even compare to the former school attended. I think we just want the best for our children. I don't bash those who send their children to Cooter and think those who send their children to Cooter shouldn't bash those who send theirs to Blytheville.
Very well stated!

They serve Breakfast to the elm school only! High schoolers are responsible to eat before they come to school! Yes, from 3rd grade up can walk up town for lunch! Even some cooter kids drive to Blytheville for breakfast then back to cooter for school! I'm not saying Blytheville is a bad school never attended so don't speak about it! But I don't want Blytheville people putting Cooter down either!

Did you attend Blytheville until 11th grade? If so, seems like you got most of your education from Blytheville.

What about Hayti, Missouri?

Is that a good choice?

Safer than Blytheville.

Gets a 6 rating from greatschools.com .
Blytheville gets a 2 rating.
(not my favorite website, I'd rather see actual test results but it gives a quick assessment.)

The format of these tests were not the same 30 years ago, not sure but may have even been the SAT 30 years ago. School is not the same as it was. You now have 6th graders doing the AP math I was doing in high school.

I'm not sure, but isn't it based on people who leave a comment and a rating? You should be able to find test results from the Missouri Department of Education Website. Are any schools safe? Westside, Columbine, and countless others thought they were safe.

Yes there were SAT and ACT tests 30 years ago and no they are not so much different. I guess Einstein, Newton, and DaVinci couldn't compete with a current Cooter grad. ROFLMAO
