"This will be a shot in the arm for our officers as well as for the community to see their taxpayer dollars actually go toward the infrastructure for the city, especially in our efforts to reduce crime in our area," Sanders said.

Wait. Infrastructure? So the infrastructure tax could have been used?

"An inspection from the Department of Labor back in April closed parts of the current Blytheville Police Department building because it was unsafe".

And why was it unsafe??? Who was responsible for maintaining it?

I hope it will be a Justice Complex instead of an Injustice Complex. Maybe they could run Sanders through as first convict to receive the tour of the criminal system?

It will cost us dearly, just like Westminster. It will only help these jackasses fill their pockets.

We are so tired of people like you that since you can not defend Sanders' horrible record, you whine when informed people expose his horrible ineptness. You are not bothered by incompetence, but you are bothered by the truth. How are things to improve if we can't admit the problem? YOU and your embracing of failure ARE what makes failure thrive in BlyVegas!

That's true - I just looked up the Marion financial statements.

Their 2015 TOTAL fire expenditures are almost exactly the same amount as what our firemen will be getting in raises only!!!

Almost 1 full percent of our sales tax rate is going for this excess amount compared to Marion.

Quintessential Blytheville leadership.

That one building will do nothing but enable people that have always used and robbed this town another means to take advantage, again.
Just as cheating, lazy Elroy stayed on payroll for months and mayor says he won't be replaced, Sanders says public works will mow the parks, the parks " director" scam ends. Public works had always mowed the parks until more thieves took over to get into park grants. Someone with authority needs to check where and on what ( park funds) were spent, then report to the people. Who gets the new truck we just bought for old nasty Brown?
