You don't know what you've got till it's gone. You can Thank your elected, city and county, officials for that. Wait till they run the hospital folks out of town, then your really gonna be upset.

Pathetic One was horrible. Mississippi County EMS is the best and they are very well trained and professional. We should feel privileged to have them here. Just can't wait until they get Pafford out.

The county officials have already run Baptist out...that's the reason we have the current company running the hospital. Baptist has now partnered with NEA in Jonesboro.

Mississippi County EMS has Gosnell, will have Blytheville within the month and then Osceola. Thank God for professional, well trained people.

Living in a dream world Pafford is the oldest family owned ems provider in Arkansas. They are not going anywhere. Nothing against Miss Co EMS they are a good group of guys but they are not big enough to cause any finicial damage to a company that large and old. Good luck to Miss Co EMS and the residents appreciate the added coverage.

We are fortunate that Pafford is here and Medic One is gone. Missco EMS is a nice addition. I have already seen a big difference in North Miss Co.

Didn't say Pafford was going. I said the cities are giving contracts to MissCo EMS. Pafford will still have the county coverage.....for now. I expect in short time MissCo will have it all.

911 calls represent mybe 25% of all calls, Paffored has the contracts with Great River Medical Center, South Miss Co Regional Med Center, Gosnell Health Care, Heritage Square Nursing Home, and Osceola Health Care. Pafford now has 3 ambulances covering the Blytheville area and 2 covering south Miss Co. Until a mistake is made by Pafford the cities and county are not going to just give a contract to Miss Co EMS because they are home town boys.

Oh how wrong you are. Gosnell already gave MissCo EMS a contract and as of the 17th they have a contract with Blytheville. Osceola is already in the works.

since there are 2 services in blytheville and osceola 911 will have to alternate between them, if they dont can we say lawsuit..in other words if a 911 call comes into the 911 center (and its in the area covered by both services) 911 will have to give one call to this service then one call to the other service, otherwise a lawsuit can be brought about and won...dont believe it just check out the other co's that have more than one service, it has been done

WRONG AGAIN!!!! Let's take for instance Gosnell right now. They have a city contract with MissCo EMS. If a 911 call comes in for an ambulance in the city of Gosnell the call always goes to MissCo EMS and never Pafford. The same thing will be happening in Blytheville as of the 17th. Now, if MissCo doesn't have anyone available it is their responsibility to notify the next ALS Service to take the call....Pafford. If they are also unavailable then the next back-up is the Blytheville Emergency Squad.

Why does it matter who helps you everyone goes through the same training and are required to carry the same supplies. Neither one is better than the other and if you have an emergency it seems like forever before someone shows up even if it takes 2 min. Quit putting each other down and spreading rumors and give the taxpayers what they deserve!
