Save yourself some money, soapy water kills wasp just as easy as any wasp killer you buy. just mix a lttle dawn in some water and thats it.

Check this out...

Put some lemon scented dish soap in one of those sprayers that attaches to your hose.. spray the house the yard or where ever! Bubbles everywhere lol.. seriously though!

Once a wasp gets that lemon scent on them they are no longer allowed back into the nest! It's amazing and very cheap!

Cons... You have to do it after every rain!
Pros... Nothing to lose! Bubbles are fun! Seems to attract butterflies! Dragon flies don't mind the soap either..seems like it attracted them too and we all know they will eat the heck out of skeeters!

Try it?

Really? It will repel wasps? Will it hurt the grass or flowers?

I thought it was just around my house until I heard everyone talking about them. I have NEVER seen this this bad. I have killed 4 in my house in the past couple of weeks. That's probably as many as I've killed in my house in all of the years past combined! I may try the lemon spray on my porch so that I can get to my mailbox.

Remember... it's not going to kill them! I mean unless you drown the boogers in it! It's going to repel them and keep them away!

last summer I parked my car for a couple of weeks because the air did not work and they moved in. I opened the door and about 20 came after me. There were nest just inside the doors, behind the mirrors and a couple other places. Needless to say, I did not drive the car again until winter...

Hopefully it will not happen again this year..

They are bad everywhare then. I thought it was just where I live. I have killed 8 or so in the house and about 15 between the door and storm door. I hae since found the entrys through the storm door and sealed them, that has helped. But, I have made part of my morning routine to take the dog out, grab the fly swater and raid on the way.

"they" say not to squish them because they release some smell that puts nearby wasps in attack mode to defend the dead wasp.

Also, remember that it is just now warming up and they are out in numbers trying to settle in. It will get better.

Wasps will eat spiders, ants, and other pains in the butts! So they do have their purpose!

Also.. those starlings that everyone complains about: well they eat wasps! So maybe let them be for a bit? Just wash your car a bit more often lol.

Whatever you do, only spray the nest at night. The are all on the nest when it gets dark, they don't fly at night because they can't find the way back to the nest. If you spray them at night you will kill 99.9 percent of them.

Sometimes the problem is finding the nest though.
