Has anyone thought what will happen to the property value of the houses around the schools that are to be closed.
How long will it take before they are breaking into them and stealing anything they can.

Don't worry the housing authority is taking them over.

Don't worry, the golf course was built to turn Blytheville around bringing in new people and businesses.
We just need to spend a little more to bring the course back up to par and you will see a complete turn around in Blytheville.
A nice club house with pool is badly needed.

Not being a smartass but a competition pool and a good swim team would bring some money into Blyheville

property values in blytheville go down about 6% each and every year! stay here long enough and you will see your home value go to ZERO

school closing does not matter. at this point, not much of anything matters

in the past we had neighborhood schools that the student population reflected the people who live in that area but when they closed robinson and franklin all students went to these schools the only problem with these school closings is the fact the buildings will stay vacant and that is never a good thing but you won't have all that traffic in the area every weekday

When teachers were hired to teach our children and they could or would not speak properly has been part of tthe downward fall of the education system.
floor-they say flo
door--they say doo
hole--they say ho
men---menzes
what--wat
was---wuz
that--dat
Check it out.If your child did well in spelling then progessed to another grade level and suddenly their grades went down, go meet the teacher. Then you will understand the problem. Speak up, talk to the school superintendant . Have your child transfered to another classroom.

Yeah I guess that's why Manila is building one too. So they'll lose money too. Paragould has a competition pool with a huge swim team. Theyve also held the AAU state meet several times. Not a hotel room to be had in Paragould the weekend of state meet. It's kind of like baseball. Lot's of kids from other parts of the state swim. Sorry that you know nothing about it. Maybe you should get informed.

There is money being made at the golf course, bus station, and the Kress Mess. It is going right into the pockets of the people that continue to pour our money into these projects and scam the money off into their own pockets.

Maybe you need to get your head out of your hindquarters, wake up and see this town for what it is! The population has and been decreasing for the past 20 years! Taxes and utilities are sky high, if you leave your house too long, it will be robbed, parents are scared to send their kids to Blytheville schools, job opportunities have dried up unless you want a temporary job, retail job or something steel related. And look around, very few people buy homes in places like this and if they do, they don't play golf and attend good ole' boy and good ole' girl events at the kress mess and the bus station. Face it, the powers that be have robbed and stolen this place blind. It's over for Blytheville, more people will leave and they will continue to tax everyone else to poor money down a rat hole. Blytheville needs to start facing reality and invest money into opportunities to help this community like fixing these sorry-assed streets and, continuing to condemn these old houses not supporting things that continue to lose money and nothing to show for the money lost.
