Does anyone have info on Kinder Morgan? How many men and women work there, how much they make an hour, they get any bonuses like Nucor, and do they work 12 hr rotating shifts? Any info would be appreciated.

When my husband started he was making around 16 an hour and is suppose to top off at around 22 an hour. I believe they have different pay for different jobs and experience. They also get a small bonus every quarter, but nothing like nucor

There is one location behind Nucor Hickmand and one behind Yamato. They move barges around and haul scrap or so I'm told. A guy on my street works there on a tugboat.

You mean like 18 wheeler trucks they load it on... Do Nucor's people have to unload the trucks out on the yard?

Do you have any idea how much employees have to pay for their health insurance? Do you know where I would send his resume to?

yes he is a maintenance mechanic. Their insurance is about $170 every two weeks for family. This includes medical, dental, and vision. Insurance pays 90%. If you have to have outpatient surgery you just pay a copay of $75 and insurance pays everything else. They have very good insurance

Thank you so much for the info. And yes, that is great insurance. Does your husband have to work 12hr. swing shifts? The other lady that replied said her husband worked 5 10hr. days on day shift. Do you have any idea what kind of job he does? Are most of the jobs unloading barges of scrap steel and hauling them to Nucor Hickman...
Or I'm assuming you're talking abut the one behind Hickman, not Yamato.

Kinder Morgan off loads scrap out of barges for Nucor and maintain the scrap lines for them. They also handle coils, plate, i-beams, pipe, and several other products for the area industries as well.

This is only one plan on the insurance-there are several different plans to choose from, depending on what you can afford to have taken out of your paycheck.

All of that sounds like steel products. They have a warehouse for storing some of it?
