Mr. Pope may have "bent" a rule but how many times has he been asked to perform "favors" for the commisioners or other elected officials? Why is it not OK sometimes and OK others? Check out the year long job on Pickens Bridge Road!

It's unbeliveable what they did to Mr. Pope and are doing to Campbell. This is so obviously political payback by the Democrats including the District Attorney. Stinks.

I am a Democrat and I certainly do not think this gentleman is guilty. I know several people in Sullivan co. who are also Democrats and I have discussed this issue with them and the majority DO NOT think he is guilty. PLEASE DO NO PASS JUDGEMENT.

Well, the last post was in May. Alan Pope is still spending his money to defend himself against this political assassination. They have destroyed a good man, cost him all his personal assets, and have accomplished their selfish political agenda of getting him out of office, but they haven't broken his spirit or his desire to restore his good reputation and name. Hopefully he will be successful on appeal and the Democrats that assaulted this honest and caring man will suffer the consequences of their actions. The DA should be ashamed of himself. He is simply a thoughtless and pitiful pawn in the hands of the shameful Sullivan County Democratic party.
