The citizens of the community need to take a stand!!! How many people have recently been affected by thieves in Chinquapin? It's a shame that when the local police is notified, they are not aware that there is currently a problem. How are the citizens supposed to get the Chiefs of Police to inform their officers that there is a problem? Does anyone have any leads on who could be committing all of the crimes? I personally know of 4 different occurences within the past month! There is obviously a huge problem! These thieves are watching the homes and know when everyone is gone. They are also doing this in the middle of the day. If anyone has any further information, please post a comment. Maybe the citizens can get some results!!!

I am also aware of several homes that have been robbed in the middle of the day in Chinquapin! There has also been reports of a guy walking around the community and peeping in windows! The police have been notified of this idiot. If anyone see any suspicious looking persons, please call the police! Maybe if they get enough calls, they will keep an officer out here to watch out for the community. I find it very aggravating that the police don't know more about whats going on. I know one thing, I'll be watching and if the thief shows up around my house...he'll wish he hadn't! I hate a thief! I am doing everything I can to notify the people of Chinquapin about the robberies. Pease sperad the word, we can all join together and stop this thief!!!

I cannot believe the people that have been affected in our community by these thiefs, the list goes on and on. I spoke with the sheriff’s department a few weeks ago and at that time they were unaware of the issues. I have since called back and they said patrol has been stepped up, day and night. I hope this is true. I haven’t heard of anything lately but I can tell you there is now a lot of fear in these two small communities and somebody is going to get hurt!! No TV, jewelry , whatever they are looking for is worth theres or anyone elses life. If people were not armed before I know they are now, and I can tell you were all sick of it. My children are afraid, the elderly its ridiculous….Everyone keep your eyes/ears open and if you see something fishy, call it in. In Bunker Hill I know of six break –ins and several attempted---there is probably more but that’s all I have heard. YES they do go in in the middle of the day, and they don’t even seem to care if your home or not. They broke in one house while the people were sleeping and they tried to open a door with a crow bar at night while the people were home. Tried to get in one ladies house while she was washing dishes, and on the front porch of another house after attempting to break in a car. There stupid, and as I said they are going to get shot. Yes spread the word, and get these idiots caught.

My husband's truck was broken into back in August, actually, it was on my birthday. His $600 stereo was stollen. We called the police and they were very helpful at the time. But we've had several instances since then that we have had to call them out because of a prowler. We had to wait over an hour for them to show up. That is ridiculous! In that length of time, someone could have hurt or anything could have happened. I heard that they caught these guys at the Bristol Mall trying to return something they stole from my neighbor, but we aren't sure if it was the same guys.

I've been broke into three times! No help from the police.I guess its hard to catch a thief. wouldnt it be something if one day you were driving across the bridge and seen a body hanging over the side of the bridge!Hung by the neck! With a suicide note in the pocket explaining how his mom and dad was drug addicts and no good to him.So he became an addict and didnt work so he stole to fuel his addiction. Then he deciced he couldnt handle the pressures of life and end it right there on the bridge! We would know who the thief was then wouldnt we!

Josh Hubbard and Nick Crumley are 2 of these thieves. I know a few people that they have robbed and I believe the cops have been informed but can't do anything yet. They have broke to a lot of homes.

Sounds like a good reason to elect a new sheriff in the county. I've been broke into and nothing was really done.

I also find it real strange how there is drug problems all around us but the few busts that have happened in our county have been headed up by the cities or by the TBI and FBI, not the Sheriff's Office.

Hubbard is going bye-bye for a while, and so is Crumley when he is caught. He recently bragged on his FB page that the judge let him off probation for the first time in 13 years. There is your problem. We don't need a new sheriff, we need a new judge!

Yea there luck finally ran out. They are finally caught and I guess their crime spree stretched all the way to SW Va. Maybe the people they robbed in Chinquapin and other places can finally get some justice.

Wow!!! I mean wow!!! The world is going to pot!! Has anyone heard two wrongs don't make a right! Has anyone ever taken a class about addiction to learn about it! Has anyone admitted that there own mouth is a problem. Yes what they did is very wrong and they will serve their time for it. I can tell you one thing anybody who knows who was stealing in the first place needs new friends. Don't you know that makes you look guilty or at least in with the wrong people. And facebook that is hilarious! When time is up you get off! Furthermore, their is many victims here and my heart goes out to everyone involved. The people who got robbed, the family members and children of the boys who have to read crap like this, and the two boys who are so lost. This just goes to show that society is sick. I doubt that you will care about your neigbors like you say that you do in your comments but as a family member of the young man I would humbly ask that you refrain from rude comments and pray for everyone involved. God Bless

First of all... he wasnt BRAGGING on his facbook. he was thinking god, even though he has STILL made bad choices and he will get in trouble ((LIKE HE NEEDS TO)) he wasn't bragging, he was happy. Let me guess... your one of these that are nice to his face but talk about him behind his back, or you wouldnt even be his friend on there. And for everyone else, he wasn't even in TOWN when these "break ins" happened last time, i should know, you don't. SO go ahead and talk crap about ol lil nick, and josh hubbard. both are guily of this crime they committed the other day, and both is going to pay.

Yeah really funny. Whose parents were you talking about. They are BOTH are good people and i should know since they are my parents. Both of them are hard workers and DON"T DO DRUGS, nor did they bring us up this way. Nick does have a problem but he didn't get it from my mom and dad. you don't know us, and if you do, please tell me who you are. This is the worse thing you could have said. If you can have kids..this will bit you in the ass. People can't always help the choices the kids make, everyone makes THEIR OWN CHOICES. My mom and dad gave us anything and everything that we wanted so its not that we went without or anything. God please bless you. I will pray for you tonight, talking about how it would be funny to see them hanging from a bridge. I will Pray for you more than I have ever prayed for someone. EVER, and Im sure you think Im the same way huh? To bad you don't know anything about me, cause you would know that this was a lie. I don't appreciate you talking about my family like this. Nick was in rehab for a year in a half.. and people still was breaking in when he wasn't even in this state. How would you like it if i posted untrue stuff about your family online?? I hope you would take it to heart just like me. He has two kids.. and Im sure they would hate to see people talking about their dad like this when they know he made a mistake.. but this is taking it too far.

I accidently judged this wrong. thank you for being being supportive. People really don't know what addiction is about it can happen to anyone, it could be pills, beer, shopping or other.. addiction is everywhere and everyone had one. It effects everyone, and at different leavels the one addiction i glad i don't have is gossiping. Which is also spoken upon in the bible, not just stealing everyone has skeltons in there family closet. And things like this comes back and bits people in the ass when thye least expect.

If you really know Nick then you know that he hasn't been caught doing one tenth of the stuff he has actually done. I am all for letting the judicial system take care of him, because this time, by the time he faces his Virginia charges and then comes back to Tennessee he will be at least a Range II offender, if not higher. No more slaps on the wrist. He can get rid of that addiction in prison, which is probably where he is going to be for at least the next ten to fifteen years, maybe longer if they run his VA and TN sentences consecutively.

"Nick Crumley
louderback took me off probation for the first time in 13 years.. woo hooo. i cant believe it"

Nowhere in that short paragraph does Nick thank god for getting him off probation for the first time in 13 years. The closest he comes is and "amen brothers and sisters" to some of the comments. You don't have to be his friend to see his facebook page, it is public.

I do feel sympathy for his family, and for his victims, but he is the victim of his own choices in life, and he should pay the consequences for those choices. I do not feel sympathy for addicts. It is hard to become addicted if you don't do drugs in the first place.

he doesn't thank god on his post but he was. can i ask you name? or are you ashamed to tell it? I will tell you straight up im his sister. And it sad you would even put something like this after his 12 year old son wrote something. People thoughts have been voiced. and im strongly voicing mine back. If you have a problem with him stay off of his page. Its that simple.YOur probably the same perosn from above. Get a life dude, and stay out of ours.

Are you one of these people that go to church on sunday and walk out and cuss as soon as you walk out? How can you judge about god in the post from his facebook? He was in a Christan Based program for 2 years, and he was living life for god until he had a relapse.((Which happends everyday)) When you start out "trying" drugs as a teen they become addictive. Have you ever tried them?? As a teen or not, i am sure you have. Smoked? cussed? Or other things frowned upon??? probably. Your not perfect, and things are hard to start but Im sure you have your own problems just as well as me. If you even know Nick? Sure I do. How well do you? Probably not to well. God bless you.

Smoked? Cussed? Guilty of both. I also speed occassionally. Don't think that will land me in prison.
