I appreciate your opinion, but Dino at that time was the only person to make all state in A and AAA classes. Yes Blfd was AAA when he played there.

Booby Walton led the nation in free throw percentage when he was in college. Where did these other guys go to the next level at.

Now I will say that buzzy Wilkerson has scoring records in the ACC that Michael Jordan didn't even break and the plated for the Boston Celtics.

Buzzy wilkinson was drafted by celts in 3 rd round that no longer exists. He never played a game for them. Still a very good played at uva. I vote Jimmy Miller. There are a lot who were very good but few have separated themselves from the rest. Who is the guy who lives in Athens that scored the first basket at cassell coliseum for VT.

Buzzy Wilkinson is by far the best player from this area. He averaged 28 points a game while at UVA for his entire career, was ACC player of the decade for the 50's, and his jersey was retired at UVA. His 32 point per game single season average and career averages are still ACC records. Pretty impressive next level stats.

I saw Tommy Gun and his Beavers go up against Mike D'Antoni of Mullens back in the 1968 - 1969 season. Tommy was good, but Mike was a better complete player. Don't know what happened to Tommy, but Mike coaches the Lakers right now. I think Tommy played a little bit in the old ABA for the Virginia Squires.

Not very local but there was a kid named Mike Porter from Pulaski Co in mid 80's. Avgd over 40 a game and watched him hang over 60 on Blfd. Think he hit legal trouble and never amounted to much but the best pure talent I remember seeing.

Ellison was good but get real. Miller, Thorn, Brooks, Pierce, Todd, Prichett, Alexander, Pettus, Jennings, Pettus, Martin, Wilkinson...probably a few more
