The truth is coach simon only cares about his self and not his players let's look at the big picture look at how much talent is at bluefield and and how many end up at the next level anybody that knws anything about knws that with the talent pool at bluefield any average coach can win at bluefield and the fact that over the years any talented assistant coach that was at bluefield left because fred is too much of a
control freak and wants to run the entire show

There is so many kids that get stuck playing a position that they shouldn't even be playing he let his sons play quarterback and lost games any other program they would have never seen the field

He wins championships.
Look at the talent pool? Any coach could win there? Hah. Take a second and think about that. Why do you think the talent pool is so good? Kids want to win, and play for the best. Kid's have witnessed him win a (few) state championships in their lifetime and they strive to be better because they're waiting for their day to come. Coach Simon is the reason our talent pool is so good. What do kids from Graham and Princeton have to look forward to? I know every season the kids at Bluefield are working their asses off to be the best players they can be, because every season their goal is to win a state championship and be a part of continuing the tradition.
As for favorites and what not. Sure, every coach does. But from what I remember, most the time when he played "favorites" the other guy wasn't busting his ass in the weightroom, or working as hard at practice as "the favorite".

Well if he is the reason the talent pool is so great why don't more of his players play college ball and to add to that guys that played back ups to his sons was hard workers and by the way if he was such a great coach why did he loose the two games he did it wasn't the fact that he didn't have talent he got out coached

They are average, the talent with players is what makes them good. I mean get real who would want to play football for Princeton or Graham??? Then again who in their right mind would send their kid to Bluefield high school? unless you want them to turn into a gangbanger... Go TIGERS
hahaha

Princeton, WV

I love it when people say that. I'd like to see graham play in WV and win a state championship. I could be wrong, but I don't think you've beat us when we've won states, and even if you did its the first game of the season. The last time I remember thinking, "Damn. Graham's REALLY good" was when Ahmad played. AND when Ahmad played, he did literally EVERYTHING. Punt/Run/Catch/Throw whatever.

I'm not shitting on Graham, because I have just as many friends from there as I do in bluefield. It just so happens that my friends from Graham aren't as ignorant and hateful as your self. Both schools have talent, and I'd like to say both VA and WV are lucky were twin cities and don't have ONE football team. If that were the case, we'd start losing count of state championships.

bluefields talent is so different i think they put somethin in there water!!! we can compete with anyone it dont matter what sport it is!! its not our fault who we play its just where we are located sto hatin cause u see almost everybody wit rings up here..bt i cant lie simon does care bout his player bt at da same tie he doesnt. he only cares about them when they are playing for him but when they are leaving he can care less..if u disagree let me help you to see it da way i do:

how many state championships has he won?? n how many players has he sent to da next level?? i think about 1 n thats ansel ponder..blufield has had so much talent play for that man n they all stuck left in bluefield..i mean he had all da steptoes i mean quinton was one of da fastest n da state t one time he prolly still is...umm lets see mike davis was a nasty reciever..marcus n jake goin to concord but i wouldnt consider that as the next level because when they leave there they gon be back at bluefield watchin the players after them...its really sad i swear it is!! o n there is more players i could have named but it would have been too much n im pretty sure yall get the point

Bluefield is a decent high school team..... the talent is somewhat there, but college teams not goin to look at a kid thats in this little of an area, unless they are STANDIN out in stats.... there going to go to bigger cities with more population. Just how it is folks.

b.t.w- its just as much on the kids and the parents as it is on the coaches. which i dont know the coach, but its BS if he does not help his players move on. but there is more to "moving" on to the "next level". You have to look at grades and ACT scores, ya like i said they had some athletes, but some were stoooooopid

I think Coach Simon does try to help his players move on if they want to move on...not all of them want to play college ball. Another thing that has been said is there grades. Football players at bluefield do struggle with grades, therefore dont go on to college, so therefore they cant play at the next level. And the kids that have the skills academically and on the field do make it to the next level and go very far because of Coach Simon setting that solid foundation.

he doesn't set shit some kids come from good homes and there families set it he is not the reason of the talent pool he is not going around fucking all these women getting them pregnant he only tells his players what to do to be good on the high school level not on the college the techniques that he teaches are not up to date and would not work against a well coach team
