Says non-clinical people, so no one that touches patients. Sounds like the same thing that happened with St Lukes few years back! So Bluefieldians, how would you feel about driving to Tazewell or Princeton to get medical help?

The employees were already struggling under their workload.

Who cares how the building looks or what new services they offer if there aren't enough people to take care of the patients properly.

They may not be laying off nurses but many have left and not been replaced.

They should be hiring in janitorial dept, I was up there Tue and that place is NASTY. The floors looked as if they hadn't mopped since this new bunch took over. That one guy that use to buff the halls keep them things so shiney you could see yourself. Now you need a broom to sweep the filth to see the floors, this can't be healthy for the patients. But they don't care about patients well being all they want is that MONEY.

The hospital is overstaffed in several departments. The deadwood is being trimmed. This hospital is going to do just fine. I would bet any amount on that.

22 out of 600 certainly could be in that category. When I have been there I have noticed some working very hard and others just sitting around. Just like any other business around here. Some work some don't.

who dat is right. It took time but they found the ones considered deadwood. The hospital will run just fine with the personel left. Lots of business's across the nation have had to cut fat and are now on the way to recovery. The hospital will do just fine. No nurse's or other licensed personel were cut.

Bet you are Republican too!!! Let's hope you never need a bed pan to catch your BS. Maybe drop the pay of the Admin and lower stock holders premiums. That would help save jobs. BTW what is the City doing with their cut of the sale?

Yeah, I'd be interested to see a spreadsheet showing the exact expenditure of the money from the sale of the hospital.

Anyone feel like using the Freedom of Information Act?
