The needed to close that place. I bought a pet there once that was so sick it cost me thousands of dollars in vet bills just to get her well. Their response was to return the money and put her down but we had already bonded. So we paid and are grateful for our baby BUT they were a shady outfit.

I had never bought a dog from a pet store before and if it were not for my son just falling in love with that little puppy I would not have done it then. Prior to this I had always gotten my pets from a shelter; never again will I go to a pet store. Since the were going to just put her down in many ways we did save her; the whole experience made me anti-pet stores.

The local animal shelters here are full of great animals, many of them pedigreed if that is what you are looking for. They have dogs and cats of all sizes, shapes, and colors. There are also many otherrescue agencies that you can get pets from if you are looking for a certain type. Getting a pet from one of these agencies solves many issues and will give you a wonderful blessing.

When I worked for the MCAS back in early 2000's we busted them repeatedly for animal abuse. No food or water. they drug the dogs to make them seem calm. it was a horrible place and never up to code with teh franchise rules and licenses.

I worked there for one day... could not handle what I saw behind the doors. No way an animal lover could actually work there. There were sickly looking dogs stuck in pet taxi's all day and I asked what was wrong with them , I was told not worry about them. Deffinately go to a shelter to get a cat or dog! You will save a life!:)

Sign on the door says remodeling but I do agree with going to shelter if you want cat or dog these are the animals who really need a good home

all those poor animals look sad when you walk in there! last time i was there the poor kittens had eye infections w/ crust around their eyes. i refused to go in there after that! all those employees walking around and ignoring the fact that half of those animals are sick and need medical attention. I don't understand how a place like that stays opened in the first place?
