You have to be kidding me. What about the women who work but get a check because the father is too lazy to. Or the mother who is unable to work because her child has cancer and she has to take care of her. What about the 70 year old lady or man who gets a check because her daugter died and she is raising her grandchildren. Just because someone recieves assistance does not mean they are inbred. You are narrow minded and becareful what you are judgemental about. One day you may be in the same situation. You never know what might happen in the future.

Personally, I think welfare is a positive thing if it is used in the right ways. However, when I was in college I worked and lived on my own. I was a server and sometimes was not making enough money to cover my bills. I went to DHHR to sign up for food stamps and they refused, explaining that I go to school and work... I should not need any assistance. They said that if I quit school, quit working, or had a child that they would be able to help me. So I get punished because I'm in college, working, and have not gotten myself pregnant when I can't afford to be??? Why is that the people who are trying to do something positive with their life cannot be helped for a temporary amount of time, but the lazy people who do not work at all can collect a check every month? I also find it unreal that many people get paid dissability, yet they sit at home and sell drugs and do drugs, but make WAY more than I could ever dream of making as a server. The system is failing to do it's job. You basically have to be a worthless, lazy, POS to get any kind of help from the government. It's a slap in the face to those of us who actually WANT and are trying to have a better quality of life.

Princeton your post says it all so well.....the problem with the system is so very many that try but need a bit of help are turned away while it rewards sorriness-laziness-or habitual baby droppers-with a lifetime of living.
Someone that needs a bit of extra help like foodstamps to simply extend their ability to buy food items are turned away.....
the sorry ones that won't work and live off the system know every loophole and every handout there is so they can maintain their workfree lifestyle,that is what ticks me off about welfare and disability both.....people that really deserve either-are turned down while the lazy& doodless get a free ride on the system.They are rewarded for being lazy and doodless and it becomes a lifestyle.

i agree with what you guys say about the people sitting at home on their butts selling drugs and getting welfare, but not everyone who's on welfare is like that. i used to be on it and i worked the whole time i was. i was raising my kids on my own, not getting any help from their father, and barely making it. so please think about others when you post things like this because it makes me ashamed to have ever been on welfare because of the label it puts on people. just remember that there are some single parents, or couples who are out there trying their best to make a living for their family but have to get welfare because of the economy. and you can trash me all you want after everyone reads this, but while i was getting assistance i was working the whole time, i do not do drugs, never have, my kids are more important, and i'm not inbred. i graduated high school, took some college courses and no my daddy is not my brother. some of you need to grow up.

You would be suprised when you go to Walmart at the first of the month and look at some of them people in the face...So inbreeding still might play a factor in the really dumb/ugly ones but on a serious note their is people that really need it because of hard times.

i think it's a shame when these so called moms get these kids and get on welfare using the children for bait so that they don't have to get off of their sorry asses and get a job instead the welfare sends them to some sort of class that they don't attend half of the time and stick their kids in day care to keep from putting up with them and once again that money is coming out of the state budget in my opinion that's why the department needs to monitor more than they do there are people out here using the checks to purchase drugs and selling stamps for money i understand that there are really people out here that does need assistance that can't get it and then we have some that are getting the benefits and abusing it and then we wonder why the economy is in such bad shape
