better not go to cowboy up if your a patch holder they don't like bikers. they act like they are scared to death when a biker comes in i stopped going because of it. i used to go every sat. night never seen a fight with a biker it was always a young college boy with a big belt buckle and a cowboy hat that turns redneck.

Cowboy up is a good place too go. Sometimes they have professional singers come and play for a decent price to get in. I have had a good time there and i heard shakers was a good one too. I have a friend that works at cowboy up the security isnt that bad either. I am deployed right now so when i get back i will go there. High Country is a good place if you like country music.

I have been to High Country . It was a cool place then . If they would get more bands other than cheat river it would be great!!

I've been to Alex's. It was dead as a doornail. Besides myself and my friend, there were two or three other people there plus the bartender and the owner.

Actually they didnt even get shut down for their 22 counts of underage drinking but if your not 21 you have to take a breathalyzer before you enter & when you leave. That place sucks.. Smoke is the DJ and hes a fag youll hate him. Shakerz is the best. www.myspace.com/shakerzniteclub

<quoted text>I heard it was all rumors. They are 21 & up right now but it may change back later!! There were underage people there who drank at home before entering the Club, but Kamikaze didn't get fined for that. They are still open for business. They did get a fine from the fire marshall for too many people in the building, but thats all I know of. If these young people want somewhere to go & hang out with friends on weekends, then don't drink before you come!! Stop ruining it for everybody!!
Hope you know you got it all wrong. I am a bartender in the blfd area and they did IN FACT get charged with all of those counts and the 16 yr old girl story is true too!! They were fined and forced to close for a week.

What we need here is a classy club that caters to 30 and up. Like a jazz R&B top 40 music/dinner club. There are no good clubs around here where you can really go that you don't have to worry about feeling safe.
Cowboy up only caters to a select group of people who likes only one genre of music.
Kamikazie is always in the police blotter for fights.
Shakerz is hip hop and has too many wild kids.
There really has not been a place since the Kings Gallery was open in Princeton or Bo's in bluefiled when people went out and had a great time.

If you need a bar to have fun, there is a problem. Personally, I feel the nightlife/alcohol thing is entirely too popular, but I guess nobody wants to be a respectable human being around here. Why be intelligent, when you can get drunk? Maybe you could even have sex with a stranger or two, then have the excuse: "Oh, I was drunk!" Great! and now you've lost the respect of many men AND women. Classy! No wonder people still think WV is full of Rednecks. Hope that STD clears up for ya.

P.S. That's not a cold sore on her lips.

Why would you wear your patch to a night club? Bikers don't fight in bars? Flying colors ever been known to start trouble?

...since this thread was started a year ago yesterday, I think it's time for a toast:

"To things that suck the life out of the two Virginias, and to the superficial people that have nothing better to do! I salute you, Kings and Queens of the bars!"
