so what wrote:
<quoted text>But the man from the pirates started the fight I saw that much. And yes the other were totally inappropirate and disrespectful to law enforcement and there is no excuse. But there are a lot of ways to handle cursing in front of children. I don't like my children to hear cursing either but I would much rather they hear foul language than to have to try and dodge a bunch of idiots to keep my children safe. And the foul language did not come from your side but the violence did and your man was too sorry to stick around and admit to what he did that in itself makes him look like he did something wrong. If he was innocent why did he run. Why didn't he stay and tell the cops his story. Innocent people don't need to run from the cops.
The guy was not in handcuffs because of the fight, at that point he was in handcuffs for his inability to respect law enforcement. There was no story to tell, the cop witnessed everything he needed to know, there was no need to stick around, nor was he asked to stay there. Therefore I would not classify his leaving as "Running". Sorry.... FYI "Our Man" is not known for intentionally looking for or picking fights, but he is known for loving and protecting his family. Some people shouldn't be permitted in public..... Just saying

I do agree with you there are SOME PEOPLE that should never be allowed in public or at any public event-be it sports-concert-parades or whatever. There are those that seem to start and be a part of a problem at anything they attend.

Here is my suggestion. Both parents involved be suspended from any activity for the remainder of the season. Neither were all that innocent and I was there I saw it your guy ran before the officer began dealing with him. He was not told by the officer he could leave. And before you say its not fair. Both parents engaged in a physical altercation in front of your children. You both endangered your children and all others at that game. Neither of you deserve the right to attend. To the man from peterstown. If you did nothing wrong. Then go to the state police barracks and give astatement. There is noreason not to if you did nothing wrong. The minutemen parents are known. The peterstown one isn't to anyone but the peterstown team. Let league officials know who he is and let them punish the individual not the teams. This is different from last year. This was two individuals not two entire teams.

This may be different from last year but this is still another issue in this league. This proves that this entire league is poorly ran. All parents should have to meet with the coaches before the season and it should be made clear to EVERYONE that this garbage will not be tolerated. Both parents should absolutely be banned for the rest of the year. Put a stop to this nonsense. But this league is ran by trash so everyone can expect nothing to happen. The kids will never be safe until a real leader steps in and only allows real leaders to run each program. I blame everyone from the director of the league to the team coaches. They should make it clear to every parent and relative from day one that the coaches will take care of any issues and that they better not say one single word to the other fans or they will be banned.

The league is not responcible for the actions of a few. In this case it was parents but these games are open to the public. No one sit's there and asks everyone coming are your children playing today. Yes all parents on my child's team knows the consequences of this behavior. HOwever, I will say this. The off duty officer who broke this up was a minutemen parent. The trooper was sitting on the minutemen side(though I do not know if he was a parent or not.) The coaches from bothsides were trying to calm people down and de escelate. Had this been two more hot headed teams this may have been much different. As it were besides those fighting the main concern of both teams was seeing that their children were safe. Had this been teams full fo parents that see a fight and want in on the action then this would be a much different result. The only people at fault is and has been the parents involved. I agree they should be banned for a minimum of the season. An example must be made of each individual who does this. the only thing this proves is that the league should have security at every game. And to the person who said the foul language did not come from the pirates, that may be so. And every team has parents that are not appropirate at times and do not know how to behave like adults. But every person out there trying to get things calmed down was a minutemen parent, coach or official. Wile some of your team may have helped the majority out there were Minutemen. In other words, when the minutemen coaches see a problem they try to help things out. They try to deescelate things.

I apologize if you thought I was implying that the minutemen parents were using fowl language, that was not what I was implying. The minutemen parents and players showed nothing but good sportsmanship. I was talking about the man who was handcuffed and his family. That was what the argument began about, was their fowl language. Not even sure if they were affiliated with the minutemen team. As the game was going on they were sitting in the dugout behind the pirates side and were cussing and being disruptive the whole time. I actually her the older lady get on to them for the language they were using. Then she was out in the parking lot using worse language then then what she was getting onto them about. Like I said before the minutemen team and parents displayed nothing but good sportsmanship.

You're not associated with the minutemen are you? A little bit of a biased opinion don't you think? I disagree, this is the coaches fault and don't give me this open to the public garbage, some random person wasn't fighting it was people associated with the teams, their kids play etc. So yeah the coaches should have made it very clear from the beginning that this wouldn't be tolerated. I do agree that sadly security probably does need to be present at games from now on. Every coach needs to sit down with their entire team and make it clear that this behavior won't be tolerated and they haven't. This should have been addressed when the year started and it wasn't. All parents should have had to sign a parent conduct form before the season addressing these issues, but they weren't. This is a leadership issue as well as an individual issue.

Actually yes my child is on minutemen. But my dad is from peterstown and my nephew plays for peterstown. I am calling for both sets of parents to be suspended. Not just peterstown. There was plenty of blame here but it was not the teams it was individuals. Our coaches did tell parents about the zero tolerance policy. I think the behavior toward law enforcement was a disgrace. Everyone here is stating its all the minutemen teams fault when its their parents that contained it. No one on the minutemen is saying their fans have no fault. But there is blame to go around. The answer to foul language is not violence. The example set for your child was its okay to fight if you don't like what someone says.

it is never a good idea to announce a public officials name on a public websight. If you have a legitimate reason to know then call the state police they can let you know

I was thetr at the fight and it was 10000000000% the guy in handcuffs fault.. Him and his whole family... They shld all be banned from any games the rest of the season.. There son is a sweet kid but growing up in that enviroment... The adults were making fun of the pirate player that was injured. I mean what kind of person makes fun of a injuried child. Im a minute man parent and think they shld br barred forever... That showed a disgusting attiude toward the police and i hope everyone of them went to jail..

Security guards are the answer, oh yeah. We all know that they can do nothing, enough is wasted on them by the taxpayers now at school events. Anyone has been around them at events would surely know they stir more drama than fix it. Most dont even have the attitude to be professional, they have little training and no arrest authority. Basically all they can do is attempt to intemadate. God knows most arent even in shape to defend themselves. People need to just be respectful of each other, its ashamed but no one cares about anyone or their feelings anymore. Most have their own agenda and nobody else matters. Hum, sound like the the whole country as a mater of a fact. Wonder why its going all to hell.
