If you are ever ever uncomfortable with your doctor then your intuition is telling you SOMETHING IS WRONG!!! You need to take the time to meet local docs and find one that you feel good about. There are only a few good doctors in this area so it may take awhile to find one you like but it is worth every second! This is your life and your babies life we are talking about. Not a local restaurant critique. You are putting your life into someone elses hands!(When a woman is in labor it is the closest she will ever come to death). Why put that huge responsibility into the hands of someone you don't even feel comfortable with? Take your health seriously and don't put it in danger by using the most convenient doc.

Dr. Brodnick is a wonderful caring doctor. His staff are great. He has changed a lot in the office over the past year. A lot of new caring employees. He saved my life and several friends of mine. He diagnosed me with cancer. He and his staff made some phone calls and I was at Bowman Gray within a few hours of the news he delivered to me.

I am from Bluefield, Wv. I was pregnant with my first child at 19 and had her when I was 20. I started out with Brodnik but I can not stand him. I felt very self concious and uncomfortable from the first tim e he saw me. He did a vaginal ultrasound and while he was doing it he was rubbing his crotch on my foot. He did not like to awnser question and did not care at all, bad bedside manner. It was my first baby and I had femaleproblems prior to getting pregnant so I took the first dr appt available. I was 7 months pregnant and my Moms close friend came to my brothers ball came and told us how he sucked her sisters babys' brains out cause the vaccuum was up too high...I could not allow my self to go back to him after all I did not like him anyway. I started seeing Dr Edwards and I think he is awesome!!!! He is very kind and cares how you feel and that you understand what is going on. I will recommend him to anyone. If I ever had another baby in WV I would see him (Dr EDWARDS)!!!!

Oh and they are also right about him putting things on your insurance that he does not do. He also done a coloscopy on my where he cut a piece of my cervix off to check my cancerous cells...while I was pregant!! I would not go to him at all. Dr.Edwards delivered my daughter and niece and both times he made my faniky feel lik ehis.

i would recommend dr edwards in bluefield.....his office is located by the hospital and he is an amazing dr, and very understanding. i have never had any children but have had several female issues, and he has been so concerned, so far as to call me at home himself after my surgery and check on me. he is a great dr, and would suggest at least having a consultation with him.

I would advise anyone who is looking for the best obgyn in the region to see my obgyn. Dr. Lasker
he has been in this area for more than 30 years and I have not heard a bad word about him as a doctor from anyone.

Can anyone give me some info on this dr? I am looking for a new gyno, I currently go to one in Beckley and I AM NOT happy with them. I saw a commercial for Brodnick and that he done the novasure procedure which I am supposed to have within the next month or so and I'm just really not wanting my current doctor to do it. Any info would be very much appreciated. If anyone has the names of any other gyno that is good please pass it my way.
I went to Dr lasker witch i would never reccommend to any one for the fact when i was pregnant and went to the hospital i was 2 weeks early and 5 cm dialated. This mfr induces me any way to make th whole thing go quicker for his GOLF TRIP, needledd to say dr brodnick was my on call dr while he was outa town and I had the roughest dilevery ever because my af terbirth wouldnt come out due to the sppedy labor and dr brodnick I think kept mt pain Pills i have never been a druggie or anything so this isnt the reason . I was in so much pain and he wouldnt even gicve me anything to stop the pain of where dr lasker just stck his arm all the way in me and ripped the after birth out.

I recommened doctor Edwards he is a wonderful doctor, I have heard some bad things about Brodnick. Everybody keeps throwing off on Edwards but he was wonderful, I am thankful I found him, I was 13 having a baby and nobody else around here was taking new patients or medical cards and he took me in and has helped me so much I have been going to him for almost 3 years now, and he has meet my needs and I really don't think he would show you the baby after you had a miscarriage unless you wanted to see it, I know plenty of people that has had miscarriages and he asked before he did if they wanted to see it!!

I am a patient of Dr. Brodnik's, and I have to say that I love him as a doctor. He has been nothing but great, when it comes to taking care of me. I have been seeing him for several years now, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2005, and I've had 4 surgeries since then, all in which have went perfectly. I have to agree his nurses could use an attitude adjustment.

As far as talking to your family members after surgery, he has ALWAYS went into the OR waiting room and talked to my family. If you don't have someone waiting in the OR waiting room, then he will not chase them down to let them know how the surgery went.

The only thing I dislike about Bluefield Woman's Center is having to wait hours and hours before you get to see him, but other than that... Some people you just can't please, so my advice to you is, make an appointment and see for yourself, if you don't like him, you don't have to go back!

well if you knew anything at all then you would know that your comment is completely screwed up. if he is so packed because of welfare patients then he can't be after money because medicaid doesn't pay anything compared to private insurance companies, so get your facts straight before coming on here running your mouth.

i think he is a great doctor, he's delivered all of my children and most of the people i know go to him. his bedside manner isn't perfect, but it's not that he's rude, he just does his job and moves on to the next patient. his office use to take forever to get into but now i'm in and out of there in no time, and he still has the same amount of patients. no matter what doctor you ask about you'll hear bad things about them, i could sit here and tell you things about every obgyn around here, but i'm not that way. just go to him yourself, see if you like him, if not try someone else. you never know...

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Capricorn

Today's New Moon urges you to get to grips with something that's been weighing on your conscience recently. Do something about it, dear Goats, preferably before Christmas Day. Think how much better you'll feel when you've finally faced up and taken some concrete action over it. You'll wonder why you waited so long before doing something about it.
