Yes. I would frequent them more.

Yes. I would like to see it.

Unsure.

No.

No. Firearms should be for government only.

No. Guns should be completely illegal.

I saw in the news that there is a business (pizza parlor) that offers a 15% discount to any customer that legally caries a firearm, either openly or showing a Concealed Carry Permit.

The response in his business is that his clientele has tripled. he was planning the discount to run until March, but now says he is thinking of making it permanent.

What's your take?

I think it would be great. I would love to see the reaction of the local police if more people open carried. It's legal you know.

I very openly carried for approx. 3 years before I decided to get my CC. CC is just more convenient and gives many more options.

But I'm a bit baffled about the "police reaction" thing that most people take about in this particular area. I understand that there are plenty of places where adverse reactions by LE (mostly the rookies) are taking place, but MY experience in and around the Mercer County area, has been anything other than unpleasant. I have never been hassled by LE, even while carrying openly in their presence... As a matter of fact, my pistol became a topic of good conversation between us.

At least in THIS particular area, I don't think LE reaction is anything beyond normal. I mean, they automatically assume EVERY person as armed. Seeing it openly is not as common place as it used to be which makes it a bit strange to many... but it is still an acceptable practice locally, as well as Constitutionally.

... for the next 9 months anyways...(wink)

The more I think about this, the more I think maybe ANY business could capitalize on some "special attention", especially from gun advocates. It could be potentially VERY profitable.

I personally think it is a great idea....this whole issue is disgusting-just another disgusting fumble by this lame president. He is so stupid in his gun thinking...the BAD ELEMENT-the druggie the criminal-the felon(though they are not supposed to by LAW) all of these will now and always have guns and THIS is where the problem is not the normal law abiding citizen.
In our stupidity we just cannot "offend" or discriminate against some people or groups-it might "offend" them well what about all the good citizens that are the real America do they not have a right to live their life in a relatively safe surrounding?
Why can't they call the problem what it is and put the control where it needs to be...no it is easier to just shove more off on responsible citizens and then we do not "offend" the elements that ARE THE REAL PROBLEM IN AMERICA!

To I Know:

I can certainly understand how you feel. I agree with most of it also... with maybe exception that this muSlim extremist President is not "dumb" in his efforts to dis-arm America.

It's only my opinion, but I think the upper echelon of Democrat leadership today in America are socialist extremists that seek to dis-arm America, in part, so they can gain control and dominate America. I've been watching them "dumb America down" for 2 generations through our public school systems. I've been watching them successfully "lure" Americans into moral and political complacency with "luxury" and "comfort" for just as long. Currently, the things most visible in their supposedly "hidden" agendas (only hidden from the majority of America because of this dumbing down process) is:

1: Dis-arm America by convincing it's citizens there is no longer a "need" for the 2nd Amendment, which has always given citizen's the "PERSONAL" right to defend against ALL enEmies, foreign AND "domestic", domestic meaning our own government or cells within the citizenry opposed to the "AMERICAN" way of life.

Through the Democratic party lay America's #1 "domestic enEmy". Therefore, the more successful their efforts to dis-arm us at this time will enable the future prospect of total dominance.

2 & 3: The socialists (Democrats) also need to gain control of both the food chain, and our medical care. In controlling this two, they will be able to apply great pressure on American citizens by domestic embargo: They will eventually "deny" both food and medical care to ALL citizens who do not "voluntarily" conform to the "LAW" in the future, in whatever their demand at the time.

It's really that simple. It's profound, yes. It's almost unbelievable, that our own government could have such strategy against us, yes. It's terrible news... yes. But it's ALL true.

So in short, the plans and actions of the socialists that have literally taken America by storm, almost un-noticed, are genius, patient, calculated... and successful. The people able to see this are getting to be fewer and fewer... and among the people that can see it... for them to care one way or the other? Even fewer.

Never-the-less... May God continue to bless America if it be His will... and may America take this country BACK to where it once was, in faithfulness to God, country and man.

I totally agree...this is the WORST president in American history and he is a dangerous extremist BUT there is nothing we can do....just hope the damage is repairable after another 4 years of his disaster.
I was literally sick at my stomach when he was re elected for at least this time the republicans seemed to have(hopefully)a good man...last election their choice was terrible - when he said a smooth continuation of the BUsh policies you could see the votes going to Obama....this is the BAD part of the American system...little choice sometimes. Both candidates were extremely poor- the PEOPLE wanted an end to the "Bush wars" and when the candidate said continuation the votes swung to Obama....how pitifully sad. That election both parties offered NOTHING..Obama was a dangerous choice-always was and will be.The Bush policies were killing the economy and people I feel to a degree "panic voted" thus in came obooma!
Many I feel voted based on some hope of ending the Bush wars....which should never have been in the first place, some is they say winding down however to me there is no real progress in that area as it should have been...in fact no progress in ANY area for that matter-just utter chaos.

I understand, I know... I have only this to say and after I say it, people will call me names:

The American people did NOT re-elect obAma.

obAma was officially elected... but not by the American people.

Fact or fiction? The future will reveal all.

I also have my CC, and that reminds me I need to get it renewed before April. Anyway, there are areas of West Virginia that you will be stopped. Martinsburg being one. Have you ever checked this out and signed up. Lots of good reads.

No I haven't, George. But I'm bookmarking it right now. Thanks.

And yes. Legally there are places where it is ILLEGAL to carry in WV... in those places of course it would draw attention. And it is everyone's responsibility to know the legalities.

I appreciate the link.(thumbup)

The poll is "starting" to get some substance to it. I would like to see alot more input, though.

It looks like it may well be possible to capitalize on some marketing strategy. Eh? i think the response would be absolutely overwhelming in this area... And your business could COUNT on some good press by WVVA for FREE!

Something to think about. I don't want to be the 1st one to do this because then everyone would know who I am, lol!

21 votes and counting...

Looks like gun advocates are in favor of openly displaying their rights to keep and bear arms...

So far, it's 3 to 1 in favor of!

Could a local business right here in the Bluefields be so bold as to step out and be counted, despite the intimidations of a socialist media full court press to supress such a thing?

Make no mistake... if the socialist upper echelon of the liberal Democrats today had their way, America's citizens would be completely dis-armed.

Barak obAma has said time & time again that our Constitution was an "old, outdated document" and has been the most open to date in his attacks against the Constitution... despite an oath he has taken TWICE now, where he SWORE to "uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution from EVERY enEmy, foreign and domestic"!

See how easy it is for a politician to talk out of both sides of his mouth in today's time?

Who notices? Who really cares? Well to my way of thinking, this poll is revealing at least SOME hope yet.
