RCBHS were the predicted winners by most. Even Beaver fans quietly knew they had no chance after the beat down they received at the hands the Wayne Pioneers. Oh and don't start crying" bad calls" by referees. 45-14 is a beat down. Maybe next year but highly unlikely.

Joe. What do you want, a state championship every year? It would be nice but that just don't happen. We got one just three years ago, and two years before that and three be fore that one. As a matter of fact Blfd. has the second most state championships of any active school in the state. Give it time

Ha ha, Oh Joe, you are back to cause trouble again I see. How nice of you to join us again. I know one thing that is certain. As Wayne's entire team is graduating this year, IF they beat Robert C. Byrd, who by the way was a class act of a team, played hard, played fair and just flat out won the game with their outstanding CLEAN and FAIR play, bet next year for them is more than highly unlikely for a championship so you better hope they get it this year. The Beavers however reload and go on just like they always do, and will have another championship before you know it, you just keep tuned in sweetheart!

Time for the coaching staff to get out there and get recruiting. Need to go get some players to get ready for next year.

Stop with the" bad calls n rough play" already. Ya got schooled. If its to rough maybethe local Boys n Girls Club or YMCA has a flag football league the can join. As for Wayne losing couple seniors so what. The quarterback n running back are sophomores. You'll see them in playoffs nextyear. Beavers may luck out n make it but lose again in first round. Maybe we'll read about them when they rule the flag football league

We love being the team everybody loves to beat, that comes from years of beat downs they've received from us, lol we'll be back next year (with the same players), to continue our winning tradition. These fellows have nothin to be ashamed of, hell we can hardly get teams on our schedule (what's that tell ya wink wink). And we don't have to rub it in anyone's face when we win, we win with dignity and we lose with dignity. Enjoy your success Wayne, you have a good ball club. I'd be careful with the bragging though, karma might come in the fall 2013 :-)

I for one would like to congratulate Bluefield on a fine season. They weren't expected to do nearly this well this year, very young team that exceeded expectations.

For the guy who's bragging about Wayne.... all I can say is..... You must not be used to success, because you sure don't act like you belong in that position.

As the father of a senior. Friday night was hard to watch. Bluefield , talent wise, was better than RCB. But Coach Simon chose to build his team around 2 players last year and their sophomore class. Mainly because Wayne had a big senior class this year. And some of those underclassmen did not show up Friday. And at Wayne 2 weeks ago, some of the same players were missing blocking assignments and making mistakes on special teams. Wayne is successful because of the players who do the little things. The kids who fight for the ball on the bottom of the pile and give up their body to block an extra point , just one point. Bluefield had those kids in 2009 and 2010. When a coach decides to play kids irregardless of their poor decisions, poor effort, selfish play, and disrespect of coaches. You get what happened in Clarksburg. RCB's coach said he believed Bluefield gave them the game because of what lied ahead next week. He might be right. My son, a senior, damn sure wasn't afraid of Wayne. I can't say that for the rest of the team.

What you and ever parent of any class at Bluefield High School should do is raise hell when your coaches go get players from other schools, the coaches are basically saying that your kid and the others from within the Bluefield High School District are not go enough to play for Bluefield. It is simply a slap in the face to your child and all the others.

They should have done a better job at recruiting and maybe they would still be playing. Just saying.

Well I guess its back to the drawing boards again. Losing the David Kid and Julius Thomas is definitely a cut, but not to the throat. As far as the skill guys go, 99% are back and will be Better. On the line you lose 4 of the 5 I believe. The Gore guy is more of a force on defense than offense. I will assume that leaves it up to Gore and Justin Lightfoot up front offensively. As far as defense, you can only go up. In my opinion I believe they will be improved.

well the kids played hard but u got to have a coach that wonts to win fredy did not wont to win that game wayne is the best team in the state and we got our ass handed to us most of the kids on that team are playing in the wrong pos they have a better QB but wont play him the qb that thay have now needs to be a wide out and running back they run to much of that motion shit need to go to a power game and pass the ball more they got the talent to do that but freddy wont they need to get away from the x box and madden stuff they should play for a state title next year but if the coach would make a few changes they would go 12 and 0 so we will wait till next year and see 6874

that Lightfoot kid you're talking about happens to be one of the quietest kids on the team. You people really have no idea about anything that is going on you just choose to display your irrelevant opinions and as far as this so called recruiting that you speak of goes Julius Thomas at Bluefield for all 4 years and Johnny began there but switched to bland then wanted to finish at bluefield. Get your facts right.
