Grow up, the police officer didn't lose his job. It's normal for a cop to be put on leave after a shooting. Go back to watching Vampire Diaries.

Was the Jackie Spaulding jr guy originally from Montcalm and attended Montcalm high school in the class of 1997? The one I'm thinking of had blonde hair and he wore a black trench coat to school.

And just to clarify, what the paper said is bullshit. There was no "standoff". My brother needed help. They killed him within THREE MINUTES of showing up there. I talked to Jimmy Shires today and ask him how many times my brother was shot. He said he couldn't count the bullet holes. And the trooper didn't "fatally wound" him. He KILLED him INSTANTLY! Read the paper folks. It said they got a call of an "emotionally disturbed man holding a weapon to his chest". Why in the hell would you pull up on him and draw guns demanding he raise his hands!?!? He was in a cemetery, alone, with no houses or people around ANYWHERE? Who was he a threat to besides himself??? We tried to get somebody to help him and instead, they sent people to kill him. All within 3 minutes of getting there. That is the facts regardless of what they print. Complete incompetence on their part. Completely mishandled by a trigger happy, off duty trooper that was stationed in another county. This whole thing smells of bullshit. Should have never happened.

He was on parole, he should not have had a gun and he shouldnt be drunk. You cant have either while you are on parole. See police put a person on parole, because they are going to start being upstanding, law abiding, citizens. He failed that. I wont say that he was not preset by his father to be a jerk. but in the end, he could have rebelled against his father, but he didnt. His father made his casket, he just picked when he got in it. It is tragedy of self destructive families blowing up. Not to say everyone in the family is but enough are. Dinghers also. The whole list evolves into a list of drug dealers in Bluewell. Sad not for his family but that he picked this as his way out.

Well John Spaulding, when a grown adult man who shouldn't be holding a weapon has one when the police are around, they will usually try to get him to drop it. Failing to do so will lead to a very bad situation.
You're right it never should've happened but apparently the "family" is full of less than law abiding citizens and thought it was ok for a convicted felon who was just bonded out of jail to walk around drunk and with a gun. Did you think that the police would just toss a butterfly net over his head and take him back home and tell him to be a good boy? What did the police find when they searched the house? Or have they done that yet? I bet they will.

<quoted text> Still police can be excessive. The wallstreet protest proved that. pepper spraying an 80 year old woman and a vet on crutches, a pregnant mother 8 1/2 months in her pregnancy. Cops make their choices also. Jeffrey Lawson blew his brains out when his career and wife left him. So police are not perfect.
Apparetly you are pretty dumb yourself, you dont know the Lawson that killed himself. His name wasn't Jeffery to begin with, and you have no idea why he did it either. So, keep your dumb comments to yourself when you don't know anything about anything.

he killed himself because he gave his dog an overdose of stolen drugs, that he stole from the evidence locker. he laimed he was just training the dog but no police is suppose to take drugs from the evidence locker. he wasnt the only one to do that. but certainly no medal of honor in that. apparently his record is not confidential.

These Spauldings are all a bunch of trash, none of em any good, not one.... What really gets me is that when a cowboy citizen in Bramwell kills a druggy ass punk in a gas station he gets praised as a "HERO". But, when a State Trooper (who has power anywhere in the state) kills a lowlife bum like this, he is the devil for doing hos dam job period. WTH is wrong with these idiots around town? That is my question to be answered.

Why are police so hard to prosecute and so low on the sentencing? See the problem is the double standard that police can get by with that regular joes couldnt. A police man with drugs might not even get jail time, but a regular citizen could see10 to 15 years and fines? There was an officer in Montcalm suspected of stealing drugs from the evidence lockers also and he got suspension from work and not a long one. See the police do not let WVVA cover their misdeeds, the only people with the relevant documents and trails of activity is Internal investigation. which can be problematic, especially since we live in a police controlled state of Government. http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5378473_police-m...
http://www.nyc.gov/apps/311/allServices.htm...
which is something we do not have here in Bluefield. That is why police can skid around the law. But if you want to believe you know better by all means. so what if his daughter has a criminal record. His daughter and one of his son were Jennifer and Jeffrey Lawson and they lived up behind the coca cola plant, small community everybody talks.

yes it was Jackie Jr he was 34 from MHS and yes he is the one you are thinking about. Such a tragedy. He might have been rough and rowdy most of the time but he had a good heart and that's why most people liked him. If you notice the negative comments are from people who didn't know him at all. I've not seen very many comments from people knowing home personally saying these bad things. Only people even calling him a druggie is the ones who knew nothing about him.

he did I'm almost certain it was when his wife worked at arrowhead deli. They claimed it was on robbery and very well may have been. I know very. About Jackie sr but I do credit his reputation with all the negative things being said about Lil Jackie. It's not fair to assume every bad thing you think about one applies to the other. But I can say any bad quality Lil Jackie may have had was a result of Jackie sr wanting his son to be something deep in his heart he wasn't. Jackie held very good jobs in the past here and in Colorado. I hadn't got the chance to see him since he had returned. Just goes to show no one knows what their tomorrow holds. But I can say he's defiantly in a better place now. It's just sad for the ones he left behind to grieve.
