Christy, If the Detective in charge of this case isn't doing his job, you can have him removed, use the conflict of intrest, when you call the FBI or the US Marshall, The usmarshall can go any where and they dam well will do thier job, no matter who's toes they step on. Det. Bailey has had all these years to solve this case, if he can't someone else needs to be notified, pettition the Governer, send him a copy of as much information that you know for a fact is true, and explain the situation, about the detective in charge, get a pettition going to remove him from this case. I havent found her missing poster on the wv missing. Hope this helps. A lot of us looking for her don't even know exactly what she was wearing, when she actually left the house, did she have any scars or broken bones, we as researchers are having a hard time following this.

I have talked personally to the FBI and they told me they couldnt take it from him but Im always up for trying again...and we do not know what she was wearing when she disappeared...the clothes she had on the night of her disappearance was left there on the floor. No broken bones, no distinguishing scars....there has been a lot of misunderstandings in this case but not big or important enough to put a halt on finding her....I will follow through with petitions and such....thats all I know thats left to do...thanks for your help Tina.

Thanks Carrot Cake, we look in all unfidentified bodys that have been found and they don't have names for them, sometimes they recover dental and some jane does have been idenified, by a broken bone or a pin in the leg from child hood accidents, that is why i ask if you knew of any unusual thing to look for, i will keep looking, post anything that you hear or maybe remember, dental work also sometimes help. Hi Carrot Cake, i have been out of town for a while, but this case never leaves my mind, i thought of something i read somewhere and was wondering if you knew anything about it, i read the house where Brenda was living burnt down, so you know the facts about that, i am trying to get as much information as i can then i plan on calling the bluefield news paper and ask them to rerun the story, should spark some interest of a good detective, some reporters would love to sink thier teeth in this story especially since this detective has had this case all this time, what are they thinking, Heavens all the suspects will be dead and gone if we don't get that file off his desk. I'm still searching every lead i can find hoping i can help bring closure to this family and you. Many Prayers comming your way. STAY STRONG.

I myself and a couple of other family members have talked to the FBI and they told us all that they could not take this case from Detective Bailey...he has to willingly turn it over....and I dont understand that at all....I thought the FBI was more powerful than that. I have a huge folder that has years of newspaper article, real facts that I have seen with my own eyes & interviews I have had with certain people...testimonials...you name it...and have turned all this info over but nothing is ever done. It wasnt until 5 or 6 years ago that my sister Kay and I contacted the State Police to have her put on WVs missing persons list...something that shouldve been done way before we noticed that she wasnt on it....someone is clearly not doing their job for some reason.
Hey Christy, as i was reading these posts, i thought this story sounded familiar. Just wasn't sure until i saw that you have a sister named Kay. I used to live beside her in Blfd. in the early to mid 90's. I remember her telling me about y'alls story. In fact, i went to ur parents home w/ her and met your family. They were so very nice to me and my children. We sat at your parents table for what seemed like hours and just talked. I have thought about her for years and wondered if you all had ever found out who did this to your sister. I remember when Kay moved to TN. Where we lived at the time, I felt lost w/ her. Anyway, do you think you could give her some contact info for me? If she is interested in talking w/ me i can give you my email address. Also, im so sorry that you all havent been able to find out what happened to your sister. Thank you for your time and God Bless you and your family. Sending prayers your way.

Here it is almost Thanksgiving again, and no Brenda or no peace for the family. How can the person or persons responsible for her disappearing look at themself in the mirrow or look at each other or think about her family and not tell what happened to her, such a beautiful girl and children, i hope thanksgiving day you will give this family something to be thankful for and let them know where Brenda is, and let them lay her to rest. May God Have Mercy on your soul, the suffering you have caused, the heartache, the grief, sadness, the lonliness, the missing of a loved on. If you read this it's time to Repent and bring her HOME.

I cannot believe another year has gone by and nothing has been found out about what happened to Brenda, what is wrong with this?: I would love to get this back out to the public to see if anyone remembers anything that would help, I find this case so sad, and she needs to be put too rest. If you agree help me keep this story as NO1 on Topix. Lets bring Brenda Home.

when is the detective due to retire? this case is 19 years old it doesnt make sense that she isnt listed as missing or being reviewed for cold case file.

I don't understand either, I sure wish we could find out who owns the property where she lived when she when missing, maybe we could get permission to search that property, maybe someone living in that area could check it out and post who owns the property. I know it has been a long time but time hasn't healed the broken hearts, and nothing goes hidden forever. we just need to get this back out in the news.

you go to the county court house thru tax/or county treasure office it has info on file in archives all you need is physical address of house. cross check to see if still owned by the same person when she lived there. did police search property? if they did their should be notations in police reports. local newspaper has a vast amount of knowledge gathered; the daughter should take her file of evidence and speak with a reporter about doing another story and point out the inconsistancy or issues that hamper this case being solved. nobody has said anything but where is the girls father and is he friends with anyone involved in the case other than the girls mom?

I've been trying to keep this in the headlines for a long time, I don't live near where this happen and don't have access to records, it don't seem like anyone from that area are concerned or even care what happened to her, I know from reading the post hat her sisters kept this going for a long time but couldn't get anything done, I haven't seen any post from them for a while, I had to let it go for a while I had some medical problems, much better now, an am hoping to get some interest started again. hopefully this time everybody will get on board ad demand new searches. Won't you please help? Do you have a daughter, sister or maybe like Brenda have children. Please make 2015 the year we find Brenda and bring her home.

Krista Lambert Johnson is her daughter and she is in denial that her father had anything to do with her mother's disappearance. She doesn't believe that her moms or Marks disappearances are related at all. She seems to take her dad's side, so idk. It's a sad situation.

I think she was about 5yrs old when this happened, so she would have very little memory of that night, maybe the two cases wasn't connected, I have read where she knew mark cook, but as far as anything other Maybe that why Brenda has never been found, everyone is looking in the wrong place, I never see anything about mark cook, I don't see anything where anyone has been looking for him, wonder why? This dirty little town needs to help clear up these answers, You know that someone knows something, I feel that a big break is about to happen. lets just think about putting her to rest in a decent way.

I hope more details come to light very soon and lead to the overdue answers in this case. Justice needs to be served and closure to the families involved. I encourage anyone who reads this if you know something go to the authorities even if it's anonymously just let the truth out once and for all this has went on long enough.
