DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE SAMS CLUB IN BLFD VA OR THE GRANTS IN GREENVALLEY!!! I called those two organizations about a week ahead of time to ask permission to set up a box for the food drive we are doing at my organization and they told me yes. Of course I spent all my weekend working on the eye catching posters for these two organizations and then when i get to take my boxes to Grants they tell me (after telling me yes) they cant let me because it would be unfair to other people when OTHER people are setting them up too! And for SAMS club in blfd va they took my poster and trashed it in the break room they ripped my sign all to pieces and they put trash in my box! I dont like how they treated me and I think EVERYONE should know about it!!!!
ONCE AGAIN DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THOSE TWO ORAGANIZATIONS EVER!!!!!!!!!!

to get straight to the point, the grants, well they are great people.when i didnt have a car he would have staff take u home when finished shopping, give u credit when u needed it. RANDALL WAS GOING TO EVEN HELP ME PURCHASE A HOUSE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. SO FOR U TO TALK SMAK ABUT THESE COMPANIES ARE OBSERD. MAYBE U NEEDED TO TALK TO RANDAL ABOUT THE SITUATION INSTREAD OF BAD MOUTHING THEM.HE ALWAYS DONATED TO OUR DANCES IN BLUEFIELS, SO TO SAY THEY TOLD U , U COULDNT PUT UP FOR A FOOD DRIVE, MUST HAD BEEN SOMEONE ELSE, THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT FOR THE COMMUNITIES TO HELP

I do not know who you were soliciting for nor whether it was valad or not.Grants it seems has always been helping or donating to every food drive I know of in the area. They seem to support the local food pantries and all else I know of,they are always either donating or giving discounts to local events etc. That kind of reaction is just not the way Grants operate their business.
Sam's who knows. The great walmart corp claims to do a lot (they ought to start by treating their employees decent)BUT I wish neither were here, they treat their employees like dirt-they put on a front but personally I avoid doing any business with them if at all possible.I prefer to shop where people try to treat their employees better, and wallyworld is not it!
sorry

sorrythat happend but seriously im not gonna stop shopping at grants in green valley. i live beside it and sometimes i have to go there and so do alot of other people and to the other person talkin crap bout walmart employees, the managers give them too much to do in one day and expect too much out of one person. if you never worked for walmart you'd never understand how it is.

You said it right ..it is not the employees fault..WALMART -for those that do not know treats their employees really dirty..in any and every way possible.
I cannot see why ANYONE would talk that kind of trash about GRANTS.They are a locally owned store and have been in business many many years....Randall"s dad had the first store near gap of the ridge many years ago then built in Greem Valley...they have good meats and good prices and seem to have a steady L O Y A L trade...you do not get that by not treating your customers right, they help people that need it get their purchases to their car....and they are always donating...giving...or discounting for area groups so I cannot believe what the person said that started this thread.

and i honestly couldnt agree with you more. I work for walmart and we get treated like mentally challanged elementery school kid slaves. I cant stand it. Its so hard trying to be help customers while managers are treating you like crap cause you cant get the job done in 2 seconds like they expect and the meat in grants in awesome and way cheaper than walmart. grants in green valley doesnt have alot of a selection but thats been my store for years.

look. I work at Sam's. I'm sorry about what happened to your poster. I saw the box set up.. It stayed up for several days.. and to be honest.. that's longer than anything that has been put around for that sort of thing. There are people that don't respect other peoples things there. look at the tables in the break room.. some of the associates have carved their names in the tables and even gone as far as to catch them on fire with lighters. Sams is a great place that gives 1000's of dollars a year out to charities. The associates are all about customer service. Please do not take it personally what happened at our club. It wasn't meant to offend you or hurt you, just the way things are there from time to time.. (and no..i'm not the one who tore all of your things up)

I have been with the Grants buisness almost 2 years now...not shopping, working. I know that if they told you no it had to be a a good reason. Alot of time you just talk tot he wrong people that think they have some sort of position of power and dont. Grants is the biggest community based buisness in bluefield, green valley, princeton, richlands, rich creek and tazwell, what do you think we do food drives for? what do you think about the money grants gives to schools for children's school computers and things like that? What organization are you with exactly?? Grants has the best customer service of any small buisness anywhere, we take pride in our customer service and our customers. Whatever the reason was im sure its been blown out of porportion.

Other then the first two of course, reading these post made me proud to work at Grants. You could never begin to imagine how many people call and come by each day asking for some sort of donation. We do the little things that the big chains (notice Walmart got slammed out of nowhere)have forgotten about, and thats just being good people and treating your customers, co-workers, and employees the right way. Sorry you had a bad experience I'm sure it wasn't done intentionally. Keep an eye out for the sales!!

You said it just right, Grants are great people and this was people a mishap but on the flip side Sam's Club well i know for a fact they are good to there employees as long as you do anything for them including, neglecting your family, working with our your paid breaks, long long hours, letting them talk down to you, working over off the clock, or working after your have clocked out for your lunch, Greg Sackett is the GM but has no clue he is like a Bennie Roster and when something don't sail smooth he just twists the rules around to suite him. Jeremy Thompson is the man that really needs to be in the GM position and things would change, he is fair and consistent. He also sticks to the rules. But being a male in that company is a perk because you can always be friends with Greg and then you can do whatever you want. Just watch there is going to be trouble for the way that Greg Sackett has done many people, stepping on them like there his stepping stones!
