Why is spring break so late in McDowell County this year? It usually coincides with Easter but this year it is not until the second week of April. Just wondering. It seems like every county around us is starting theirs or getting ready to go back.

I don't know why, but it sure put a damper on those that needed to travel to see family for Easter.

I for one will be thrilled to see this school year end. COME ON SUMMER!
