Judge places jail on probation

If they'll just implement a contract with a medical professional, they can avoid exposing taxpayers to this kind of unnecessary liability. That's what's so upsetting. They need too place all of Prentiss county on probation all the elected officals are crooked as hell if they aint lieing too the citizens of prentiss county they covering up the lies they already told

Everyone that works for the Prentiss county jail should have at least one of their loved ones locked behind those bars so that something is done about how they house the inmates that's already there. It's ashamed how they make them survive in there. My husband is currently in there and I received a call from him today stating the fact he has not been issued a bath towel, soap, blankets or a bed. And to top things off he informs me of staff going around in the jail. That's ashamed. I immediately packed some items that could be taken down there to him and two jailers directed as to where i could drop the items off and at the final drop off location the third jailer tells me I can only drop off at a certain time. If that's a true statement why is not posted online where the property list is posted along with visitation hours? And why did two jailers direct me to where I could drop the items off if it was after hours?
Let me have the pleasure of answering these questions for you. The third jailer was either lazy or he's simply selfish. And acting so rudely it will come back on him. When you do wrong, wrong will follow you. If they are so over crowded and they don't enough hygiene items to issue to the inmates they sure as hell should allow someone to bring them to the inmate if need be. So such actions have drawn me to take the time to write this and contact the next man in line with authority to take actions.

I would like to let people know that if you have a teenage boy or girl in prentiss county, be aware that the court system there says its okay for a person to buy alcohol and serve it to a minor, "they don't have to drink it".....A judge in prentiss county court actually said this!!! To my disbelief I had to ask again...Yes, that is what she said.
No reprimand what so ever to the person who purchased and supplied the alcohol( and lives in prentiss county where this occured). Just to the underage drinkers. They were given a lecture. How ironic in a DRY COUNTY.
It was also okay for the person who provided alcohol, to take a vehicle without permission to drive it and do damage to the vehicle. That's totally okay in prentiss county. You don't even have to pay for the damages.
Oh yes did I mention this person works for prentiss county..... I guess it's okay if you "KNOW" people. Atleast it is in Prentiss County. Parents Be Aware!!!!!!!
Watch carefully who your kids hang around with.
Those with Authority can contribute to their delinquency without facing any kind of punishment.
They can also have House Parties in prentiss county with minors attending (some as young as 15) and nothing is done to stop it.

Why can a person get away with murder in Tippah county? The law is to busy try in to find some drinking a beer and abusing and harressing young people.

I have a fiance in the Prentiss County Jail and he has been there for almost seven weeks and all I can say is If something doesnt be done about this jail here, I believe that the inmates will soon start getting so sick because of the filth and the horrible treatment that they are going thru, their lives ARE AT STAKE!!!!!!!!!!

my cousin was found hanging in her cell at this jail last wed. she died today. is there any supervision? she was also nasty, like she hadn't bathed in days. she was not a dirty person.

I think someone needs to get the F.B.I out to the jail. some thing needs to be done.....this is not right....they treat ppl wrong in the jail because they want u to be a snitch....if not then they treat u wrong......also when ppl know to much they do things to them.....something has to be done

my friend was murdered and they still haven't made ANY arrests and it has been a month. I'm sure if the FBI got involved in any aspect of Ripley,MS or surrounding areas it would be a great improvment for the public, especially for people who think they are above the laws that they were sworn in to uphold!!!

have some people looking into the problem at the prentiss county jail the jailers on duty that day or night when the hanging happened the jailers should be held responisible.

i usualy dont reply to these things but in this case i will if your not from booneville please refrain from making remarks like this you dont know the state in which these ppl live and nor it seems do you care if you are christian in heart at least you should not feel the way you do it isnt for us to judge .

the prentiss county jail is inhuman treatment ,these inmates are payng for what they done ,they ae starving these inmates .they live in poor filthy conditions something needs to be done ,with all this coruption ,that is going on ,if we dont speak out to help,they are lost ,these jailers are like robots that have programed,send letters to te govenor .state healh dept . to our state reprenstatives.everyone you can i bet we will get some reponse but its going to take all of us to do this,lets clean prentiss county up and stop the coruption,and all you christain people,join in and dont be afraid to speak out,no it dont need to be like holiday inn but it needs to be seen that these inmates are not being starved and deprived of bathing and sleeping on floors just remember someday you may have a child or grandchild here ,so be aware of wht going on there,so if you dont like whats going on there do something about ,a lot of you have left comments.so put you computer to work email everyone that holds state offices ,and file a complaint.
