What in the heck is wrong with some people? I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery but must say, tough lesson learned.

I guess the smart ones didn't hear about the same type of thing happening in Raytown last week?
This is a party house of a bunch of dumb kids...it was only a matter of time before they did something REALLY stupid!

If you dont have anything nice to say....dont say anything at all.
Please remember that family and friends of this poor person will also be reading this.
I believe the kid knows now what a horrible mistake he made.
My own son was doing the same thing last year....I had no idea that this could happen...after all...its just sparklers.
Be careful and be safe this 4th of July folks.

If you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything. You really should have more respect and compasion towards the people and family involved especialy if you are a neighbor.

All I got to say is that I have made these sparkler bombs before, not once did I do it indoors nor did I use a powerdrill like some do... I am going to guess he used a powerdrill to make the hole after he finished tying them together when you are supposed to actually pull a sparkler off the center of the pile and then tie them together tight. He created too much friction between the sparklers and the drillbit and the accident happened. It is very unfortunate that this happened to him and I can only imagine what the poor kid and the people in the house felt when it went off.

I have blown old appliances to pieces with these bombs in the past and I can't believe he is still alive and recovering. That boy just got a second chance at life and his friends and family should keep telling him that when he gets well.

I was going to comment, but after reading what others had written, there is not much more that can be said. On a side note, Krissy, learn to use punctuation and good grammer. Your post, as it is written, paints you as a 19 to 20 yr old that did not pay attention in English class. It is apparent to me that your neighbors do not have a very high opinion of you and your friends. My advice to you is to take this opportunity to clean up your act and get a grip on your life. Otherwise, it is likely to be a short one.
