I went to Sanford Brown for almost 2 years to be an X-Ray Tech... Well guess what cant get a job.. I have literally submitted my resume to every place in the country. The only thing I get back is Thank you but we are looking at other applicants.. What the Hell. I studied and worked my tail off.. Now I cant even get a job on what I went to school for... My student loans are now coming due.. These people at Sanford Brown are full of BS...Get this Two people out of Thirty even got a job in the field.. The bad part is I quit a job to go to Sanford Brown.. That is because they had a family member all ready working in the hospital and got them on.... I will join anY law suit against these people...I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE..BAD/BAD

Before Pittsburgh got a Sandford and Brown, we had a Western School of Health and Business. When I search for them, S&B comes up. Everything I read here sounds like the school changed names, but not policies. The dean of Western ended up in Prison for claiming courses were accredited, when they weren't. They were signing admitted pregnant women up for X-ray Tech classes, and then forced them out when they need to start clinical sites. I hope I can get in on this, I haven't paid loans for years, and I don't see why I should
Note, I got kicked out for, Quote from the Dean..."Asking to many questions that were beyond the curriculum of the class." I reported this to the JRCERT, but never heard back from them.

I also attended Sanford Brown Institute (Atlanta) from 2006-2007 and I am still trying to pay back the $13,350 in student loans. I was lied to and definitely got ripped off. I was curious if anything ever came about with your lawsuit?

Thanks for your time!

Its amazing how the person (I dont know his name), kept telling me that the program was so awesome. I kept asking the price and he kept changing the subject. Then he allowed me to look at the equipment. Thants when I quickly thought, how is it th equipment is still in plastic? He didnt answer. Then I asked about clinicals? He couldnt answer that question either. When he finally told me the cost of the program, I nearly flipped.
There were people in the rest room that I asked questions and they said thst they were on assistance and that everything was worked out for them. They didnt need to psy anything til the end of the program. When I left the restroom, the guy that wanted to sign me up had stated, that they could not give me, in writing, the guarantee that what I was learning would allow me to pass boards. I wanted to meet some of the students off the program, I couldnt becausd they were in class. I wanted to meet some of the instructors, one lady I met, I asked he questions concerning sound physics and she didnt understsnd the question. I asked what the constant (1.54 meters per second) of sound going through soft tissue, she looked at me as if I wanted to her to speak latin.... I thanked him for his time and I walked out. This had been 2011.

i went to trevose from 2008-09 for the MA program. they never taught us how to do blood pressure. that is one of the major things. i missed my graduation due to not knowing about it. i never recieved a certificate stating i completed the program, therefore the only proof i have is my 14 thousand dollar student loan.

I too, went to SBC and was told the credits would transfer. When i've looked into furthering my education, other schools tell me I basically have to start all over. Not exactly what a person who is $39, 000 in debt wants to hear. If anyone has information please email me @ mdee1028@yahoo.com thank you!!

Hi Sheila I am also a Gibbs College victim. I attended Norwalk Campus didn't graduate and they're saying I owe 30,000. I've hadissues with depression ever since. I was an honor roll and deans list student. I loved what I did and thought I was on the way to my dream career. I just started to get my life back on track. Got a job and they took my entire income tax and they're ruining my credit. This is disgusting and absolutely unfair. Please email me any updates about a lawsuit @ junodlove@yahoo.com

I went to SBC in Farmington and was told all credits would transfer and a bunch of other BS. I stopped going after I found out that nothing transfered and I owe them almost $14K. I had to start from square one again at Manchester Community College. For anyone interested in this school, DON'T ATTEND SANFORD AND BROWN!!! I am definatley interested in a laywer and/or class action lawsuit. Please email me at samcasey7@yahoo.com Thanks

I am a student at Sanfor-Brown Dallas, My father passed away and then days later my daughter stared to reject her liver. I went the school and told them that I needed to withdraw from the classes (in which I only had 10 weeks of class time left) I was infomed that I would have to wait till 08-2013 to return, rather then the next mod (5 weeks in a mod) I just want to look for a job and leave the school alone!

I find it very hard to believe that any of you went to any college. Your spelling and grammer say otherwise.

WOOOOOOW first of all, there is no question as to why you have not found a job. Judging from the way your post is written, I'm surprised you even knew how to turn on the computer to write it, not to mention about 75% of the words you used are spelled incorrectly. You are pretty much a grammatical nightmare. I can only imagine what you must sound like in an interview. Your post alone makes me not want to go to this school. If they accept students like yourself, it does not say much for their reputation. I am embarrassed for you.

I went to ultrasound diagnostic in 2000. Just managed to pay off my loan. With certificate in medical assistant. That school was accredited supposedly. Then you find at the end they want $500 to transfer your transcripts to a accredited school up north. Yay nice huh. Then they are bought out by non other than Sanford brown. They still have my records so I know it to be true. Same scam artist school new name. LAN on taking the time to do it right this time counoty college for me. If you here tech school think scam.

Buried deep in the paperwork everyone signed there is a non-arbitration clause. Basically when you signed you signed your enrollment agreement, you signed away your right to sue.

I went to sanford brown in 2005 for the game design porgram,I really got screwed. One of my friends there also a student ,got a job at midwest at the time(mortal kombat). He was our texture artist in the group we made, was told our certificate when finish had no chance of helping us.So must of us dropped out ,some went to ITT tech,i paid off the little loan i had,but schools like this and vaterott dont need to exist. They ruin lives, and early to because most of us are still young when we try.jtucka81@yahoo.com,i want to join the lawsuit.

You have to do your research on the campus you are looking to attend. Some schools are accredited and others aren't. Some programs are accredited and others aren't. There isn't a lawyer to touch the case because it is left to you, as an adult, to do your research on what you're signing up for.
Some people are complaining that they "had to do the medical assisting program first" this is only because you did not have the Pre-requisite classes met.(math, science, writing etc) and you have the option to EITHER go to a regular college and get the requirements done OR do sanford browns medical assisting program which has all the classes you would need before attending your desired program.
I know many people that have went to Sanford brown (in NY) and absolutely loved it. I was recently at a hospital out in long island and found several of the assistants and technicians all went to SB.
Like everything in life, there are bad stories. DO YOUR RESEARCH and you will see not everything is a hidden scheme. There are many success stories out there.
