Questions for Fannin

Questions regarding Fannin County & the Blue Ridge City Council. 1. Did we ever find out for sure if the current Mayor is actually a resident of the city of Blue Ridge? I know that this is an ongoing controversy(the last we saw was that she had used a county address on a campaign contribution for the Probate Judge election), why not actual proof? If it is found that she is not a resident, but allowed to continue to be Mayor......... then would that allow everyone in the county that so desires to run as well?? or only those that have both a city and county residence?? 2. Has the current litigation been settled regarding the city wanting more of an increase in revenue than the county was willing to provide?; 3. Why is it that when there is overwhelming opposition,(from the very citizens that this would directly affect), against annexation of the city limits via 515 North to Highway 60, and South to the Gilmer line, it is brought up again at the last minute-are we really to believe that this is NOT about selling beer, wine & the tax money that would be collected? We do realize that there are a couple of businesses that would like to sell beer & wine, should they be considered above everyone else? Why are our Commissioners remaining silent on this issue? 4. Staggered term limits for the council members,(is this a way to keep someone with your specific interest in?); is the public not allowed a voice in this matter, the question was raised by the TNO. Is emailing the city attorney sufficient under the Sunshine Law?, 5. Eliminating a council position, whom would that benefit the most, perhaps those that would request it?, 6. How many rental facilities for tourist are in the county as opposed to the city? 7. Many come to Fannin to enjoy the scenery, the lake, go to the mountains, to fish, hunt, ride mountain bikes, etc; not all go to visit downtown Blue Ridge. Do you think that this could really every be understood by those that think Blue Ridge is the only reason people come here? Downtown Blue Ridge is an attraction for sure, but it is far from all the Fannin County has to offer. 8. If not stopped with all the "wishes", will the annexations, the elimination of council position, giving votes to herself, etc. ever end? Will she ever realize that Fannin is much more than Blue Ridge? 9. Realizing as such that the position of Mayor is a part time position, why can the citizens not be informed of when the deadline is for the "Fannin County Hazard Mitigation Plan for 2011"? This has to be passed for the city to be eligible for federal grants, loans for disaster relief, etc.-yet she is unsure of the deadline. It would seem that would be a priority, since it is now March 2013. Apparently, there are more pressing issues.

You'd probably get more replies if you knew what a paragraph was.
