Hey Rock Lady. How did that law suit go for you? Not so good I hear! Paid what -- 30K to find out you didn't own it to start with! Ways of a transgressor is hard. A win for the people of Fannin County. Loss for you.

People have been tubing the Aska for decades and getting out at the Rapids and playing in the water. Some rent tubes, some bring their own. The dips across the road claimed it was their property and tried to get a guy that rents tubes to pay them money. He wouldn't so they made asses of theirselves by putting up signs and fences, threatening tubers, pushing kids and old people off 'their rocks' calling police etc. They tried to blame liability, noise, litter etc. etc. but it was just MONEY and GREED. They sued a guy that rents tubes!! Spent tens of thousands on lawyers and LOST!! Lol. Cost the tube renter guy - ZERO. Justice prevailed! HA HA HA Power to da people. They can now get out at the Rapids as they have been doing forever.

Odd the property owner didn't look at their survey to see what they actually owned. Why couldn't their attorney anticipate a ruling would go against them?

I can understand why they wouldn't want people on their property IF the people are getting out on their property...but...no one owns the river and if you buy on the river expect people to be riding the rapids and getting out. Kinda like moving in next door to dogs, gotta expect them to bark.

I'm probably the only one here who remembers you, you'll have to go post as an alias again to make believe this discussion is relevant.

Welcome back, rock-bottom.

I have wondered how you are. I was tired of all the drama. Got some home cooking with judge weaver as well as being caught up in some political payback. Will see how the appellate court sees it.

Lady on the rocks, I really do not see the problem with people using the river. I own property on the tail water of the Toccoa and I am so happy to see people having fun and being able to enjoy something I am so blessed to have, and to share with others. I have seen the area you "own" and it is on the other side of Aska road not in your back yard. I really do not understand...I have NEVER had anyone abuse my property, leave trash etc. All have been respectful of me and my property. Perhaps you are causing some of your own problems with you attitude.
