We got a dog from Mtn. Dog Boarding several years ago and I swear there is something seriously wrong with this dog. If it was abused, it was only abused for 7 weeks. Which may be all it takes but I can't imagine someone abusing a puppy. We took him home when he was 7 weeks old. It's not our first dog and we know what were doing as far as training goes. But this dog has an extreme behavioral problem. Despite his behavior, we love him and he's well taken care of but it makes me wonder and I hate to say it, but I wonder sometimes if he wasn't inbred, although I do have papers which indicates otherwise.

On Route 60 about 7 miles out of Mineral Bluff, Ga. You can also see this idiot with all his dogs in his truck in Blue Ridge at Paws in the Park.... there are about 45 people in Blue Ridge alone that have had their dogs abused at this place, stay away, please.

We have so many reports of puppy abuse from this place... I bet your puppy doesn't like other dogs and people, right?

My dog was abused too and never recovered. What was to be an innocent stay at this wretched facility turned into a nightmare for my family, my dog and my bank account. Contact the Georgia Dept of Agriculture to get a report on Mountain Dog Boarding before taking your best friend there. They may never be the same.

My little baby was also abused at this horrible place. She will never recover and they could have cared less. Even the local vet where I took her for recovery just said "yeah we know about that place, get abused dogs here all the time from there".... thanks to animalfriend I will notify ga dept of agriculture. This place should be closed!

My dog was trained there and MDB has been a life saver for my family. They are known to take strays and try and find homes for them. I have a friend that got a Yorkie puppy from them and she is excellent no be problems at all.

I bought my Yorkie puppy there 1 1/2 years ago and stopped by many times unannounced to visit her through her infancy. Each time I visited, the place was clean and there was a full staff tending to the animals. She is very smart and healthy and one of the best dogs I've ever had. They wouldn't let me have her until she turned 8 weeks old to ensure proper socialization. All the puppies (7) were very healthy and well cared for.

Where did you get the information on 45 dogs being abused? I have a second home in the area and know of many folks that take there dogs there for grooming, boarding and training and are very pleased. If you call the Dept of Agriculture, there are hardly any complaints in the 11 years they have been open. Did anyone ever call the manager/owner of MBD to complain and let him know of their dismay or is this a matter of small town gossip with no backing.

Sorry you had a bad puppy experience. Thought I should let you and others know that I got a Yorkie from them too in March of 2009 because of a friend of mine who also got a puppy from a previous litter. I loved her dog so much, I had to get one too! All the puppies in both litters were healthy. I visited my female many times at MBD and the puppies were kept in the house and were very clean and the staff was knowledgeable. They wouldn't let me take the puppy home until it was 8 weeks to make sure it was socialized with it's siblings.

Unfortunately, dogs have mental illness sometimes too and it doesn't mean they were abused. Did you call MDB and let them know? They should've been contacted right away if there is something wrong, especially when there are puppies involved. They would've reimbursed you or given you another puppy. Also, the puppies aren't inbred. The paperwork is legit because I registered mine through CKC. The mom (CKC) and dad (AKC) are in the property. You probably noticed that they are nothing alike (body shape, color).

EXCUSE ME!I Think YOU are the inbred here. I have 2 German shepherds from Reno and Domino, 2 completely different GSDs all together. You don't deserve a dog if you think that a 7 week old puppy was abused. Those guys are top notch. I'll pass this along to the man himself. Bandit.

Best bitch is what you are! I've known this facility for years. They have been in business for 11 years now and everything slanderous about them is just that. I called the Dept of Agriculture. Hearsay.

They are still open, and it is the best place, cleanest and the most professional. Now does that sound like an 11 year roll of animal abuse unchecked. Look at all those abused animals on their in-your-face-website.

I really think its crappy when people get on here with no evidence about what they claim tring to ruin a persons rep by just typeing. WHO are you? and WHAT exactly happened, with proof. Im in the business. I have groomed for him, as far as a feeling of personality clash and schedual conflict I dont any longer. But I never...NEVER saw signs of abuse. Get your shit together people and stop all the hate. Why try to demolish jobs while your at it?

All purebred dogs are inbred - it's a way of preserving the lines and the reason many strains of pureblood dogs have major health problems (hip displaysia, joint overgrowth, etc). Just fyi.

ok to all the mdb defenders, who are probably just mark lee himself, i worked for mdb for a couple of excrutiating years and saw nothing but abuse to the animals there... dogs left out in the cold, under fed, spun around by leashes over trainer's heads like a helecopter. shocked when there was no need... i got a dog from them one time when i first started working there and was told she had hip dysplasia, turns out she was kicked down the stairs three times. this is probably all due to the owner's meth and cocaine addiction. btw he just recently (12/20/11) got out of rehab. he is a money hungry psycho that needs to be shut down!!!
