Thanks. Zac makes me proud, all of horses do.
I don't have many pictures of me riding. I take the pictures. I cannot say who the rider is because some lunatic on here will start stalking him instead of me, but can tell you his background is cutting horse competition and show jumpers before that. He has excellent hands. I have always started my own colts until this year.

With Bears Way, we might have the beginnings of a photo and a horse club! I did a program for two years with kids from an "At Risk" school. The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a person (to quote someone whose name I cannot quite remember). They might be helpful for lots of people, battered women, for example.

. Horses and caring people are a good match. Just left the barn five minutes ago with my three women. Wife, daughter, and GranKid. Landius had apples and mints. He always pats me down looking for his mints.

Ive heard this about other animals too. They often will use cats and dogs as therapy with coma patients..Animal lover here, and I find it amazing how they can lift your spirit..

Ive not ridden in so long now, id almost be scared I think lol.. But in the late 70's and early 80's the town I grew up in, every second kid had a horse and would ride all over town. I had one for a little while too.Fun times!

Sure, Id love to give it a go again, its been 30 years, Id need a bush up lesson for sure.

If you have a registered account on here, you could private message me details, or your email address.
I looked and I cant private message your account..

Id give you mine on here, but from what Ive seen in a few threads, that does not seem like a wise thing to do on this board :/

I have no idea how to private message. I put my email up here so someone could send me a newspaper article and now I have all these deranged stalkers fans. I cannot suggest you do that unless you like being stalked. If you want to talk to me, leave a note with Andersons in Blairsville and they will call and let me know.

I forgot where you said you live in FL. I met a sweet guy in Jacksonville recently who has a plane and a house in Blairsville but he did not mention horses. Maybe you know him? Hand feeding is a bad idea with a herd. They start jockeying for position and get you run over. Do you or your wife ride or want to learn?

. I think I know the man, they live in Trackrock.

I used to ride years ago in my teens, I was a barn rat at Church Hill Downs. My wife and I just pay the bills for the horses. I give them love, mints, apples, and a lot of respect. Now my daughter and Grandkid do the riding.

Do you Know Art Miller? Nice horse person and volunteers at the Union County Arena.

Going to the Kentucky Derby is on my bucket list. I know Art. He is a very nice man. We take the young horses to the Tuesday night roping practice periodically to keep them used to cows and confusion. The Track Rock guy volunteers at the Mayo Clinic.
Come meet Zac and the others sometime? Mr. Big is drop dead gorgeous. How big is he? I thought he was a warmblood. Do you know anything about his breeding - Polish?

Hanoverian Warmblood from Germany, a local Shiek owned him and abused him. I rescued him.

I thought the picture ID said he was an Arabian stallion. No wonder he looked like a Warmblood. I have rescued many horses and not a single one looked like Mr. Big. Zac was a rescue from a Morgan breeder.

The way I look at, I bought him to show. Had him vetted, after a year he started to stop on jumps. Put my Grandkid at risk. Had him vetted again by a well known vet. He advised me to stop jumping him. He is always in some pain, that is why he stopped.hisrevious owner would beat him. Broke my heart. He is very happy just being a horse. 16.8 hands

Was the vet able to find the source of his pain? Is he comfortable enough for low level dressage or trail riding?
