Daycare's

Does anyone know of a good daycare around here?

Riverstone is nice, but pricey. Dannon's in morganton is good & not expensive.

Isnt Riverstone more like a school than a daycare? I heard they opened a Dannon's In blue ridge to. Does anyone where it is?

Just curious, why doesn't someone open a night time daycare, don't alot of single moms have night jobs? And NO, this wasn't meant as a slam at single moms or dads, I know plenty of both who have difficulty finding babysitters at night so they can work.

Dannon's is where we take our kids. The one in blue ridge is where Cheryl's which turned over to D&D Daycare, and now its Dannon's Same building

I think a 24hr daycare would be great for people who really needed it! Or at least a 7 day a week daycare would be nice for some people who have to work on Sat. and Sun.

You are exactly right, they should take into account that most jobs in our area, do involve working weekends. A -7 day a week- daycare facility would be a success.

IMO riverstone is technically a day care, but does function a lot like a school. Ive been taking my son there since it opened. It is a little pricey. I think it was $20 more a week than
Kaleidoscope when we priced it. The lady that runs it is top notch, has a degree and was a teacher I think.

i work at dannon's daycare and they are both great locations with two great location its your choice but u want be unhappy

Dannon's Daycare has 2 great locations to choice from with great prices come check us out u want be disappointed we promise We have openings at both locations

Well I know a little about that place too. The food they serve is terrible for the kids.

The worst part about the daycare in my opinion is that they have more kids per teacher than is allowed by state. Of course when the state shows up for an inspection they scramble to get the bases covered but its not unusual for 15 kids to be watched by 1 person. Its also not uncommon to see age groups mixed together. Want your baby in a room with 15 three year olds with only one teacher who is probably still a kid themselves watching over things? Yeah...

oh my....now there is a new Dannon's in Blue Ridge is it the same way? I have heard that Kaliedoscope is not any better and did anyone hear anything about a kid getting there finger cut off at Milestones in Blue Ridge?

Everyone here needs to grow up. My daughter went to Kaleidoscope last year, and we had NO problems with them. I'm sure most of you have problems with others because of your attitudes.

I like your reply. I'm finding that so many people that post on these forums only come here to trash, bash, and run. It would be nice to see some uplifting topics and discussions.

All in all, people here are pretty laid back and nice. You just have these few who have nothing better to do than to cause trouble. Just learn to ignore them and you'll like it here.

Im just looking at all the daycares in Fannin/McCaysville area. Im not here to gossip just needing info.

That's why I said "a few people". If you're new to the area, I apologize for the way some people here act. They just don't have anything better to do. As far as daycares, they all have their goods and bads. My 5 year old daughter looked forward to going everyday to Kaleidoscope, so I think that speaks volumes.

My children have attended Dannon's Daycare at both the Morganton location and at the Blue Ridge location. My personal experience with both locations has been very positive. The staff is excellent with the children, and the owner (Dannon Bradburn) cares personally for each and every one of the kids that attend her daycares. Both of my kids love going there. The Morganton location has a large facility with a gym, nice playground, and roomy kitchen/eating area. The prices are competitively low at both places. I would definitely recommend either location. I have taken my children there since the day they opened the daycare & would not take them anywhere else.
