1st of all. If you don't think voting fraud happens, you havent read a major paper or watched the news lately.

2nd. That website states is:

"The Board of Elections is responsible to prepare all election materials, including the certification of qualified individuals, ballot preparation and the actual conduction of elections and certification of results."

The poster asked who watches over the absentee ballots and early voting results. I can see where that doesn't answer the question. Absentee ballots are supposed to be kept under lock and key.

Who has that key?

Do they CAREFULLY certify each absentee ballot?
Compare signatures?
Check the addresses?

THAT has been part of the voting fraud issues for years everywhere around this country. And since you don't need ID to send in an absentee ballot, the propensity for fraud is humongous.

With Georgia ranking almost last in the country in ethics, hell yeah I wouldn't be surprised there is vote tampering.

So in my eyes, it was a legitimate question. Of course it seems to me that Oh My doesnt like anyone that questions their government. We're all supposed to meek little lambs, with no opinion and play follow whatever leader we get.

Excellent post. Clearly stated, point made in a way even the most rationally challenged should understand.

The only thing I would add is the utter failure with regards to the lack of local checks and balances allowed by law that allows the political parties to implement a watcher scenario designed for support in the elimination of many of the easiest forms of fraud.

At our level, in my view, the local GOP has completely failed in this regard. And I base that assessment upon past controversial events, that allowed for questionable actions by those in power, which was handled improperly then, and since no plans or actions, to my knowledge, have been implemented to assure that the mishandling, discovery, and lack of punitive measures won’t occur again.

The link that I provided, which you were apparently able to use, provides contact information for the Board of Elections. If I did not want you, or others, questioning our government why would I provide a link to the very people you should contact with your questions.

The original questions, and your questions, should be posed to the people on the Board of Elections. Asking questions of these officals will provide a set of answers that can then be verified against state law and/or compared to actual practices.

This is EXACTLY what lamar boy doesn't want in Blairsville! What do you think? Paper ballots would just put him out of business with his votes!

VOTE NO ON SPLOST V coming up on the Nov. 6 ballot!!!! And VOTE NO on the BRMEMC board of director candidates for UNION COUNTY ONLY! The 5 group of "leaders" in Blairsville does NOT want other director seats being elected from OUTSIDE of the city limits! They want to control the full slate of what goes on! At least Cummings won't be rerunning! Check out today's paper!

Here it comes! Lamar says he will keep putting the SPLOST on the ballot until it passes! He wants to buy more land and put in stuff over at Meeks Park! Wants to put a $10 Million Interest ONLY loan against the taxpayers again. The debt is building up people! Taxes AND school mill rate is going up! We are deep in debt for years to come! Meeks Park will have a gym too! In the Ga News today! Wonder where that $1 Million disappeared to a few years back?
