Has anyone tried the Irish Pub in downtown Blue Ridge? If so what do you think?

I loved it! Soft Irish music in the background and good conversation.

Yes, it's the best place for conversation and a beer. I try to go in once a week.

Down from L L. Beanery and SunTrust Bank going toward Browns Feed and Seed -- I think West Main Street.

It's not really in a residential area. There is a law office next door and it is just a few steps down the sidewalk to a bank, real estate office and coffee shop.
The dog seems to like going to work with her master and doesn't appear to mind being tied up. The metal building doesn't look bad either.
So what is your real complaint? None of the gripes you listed are true. Are you maybe a competing restaurant wanting to cause trouble?
I'm one of the "weirdos" that has eaten there.

I go there regularly ... not so much for a beer (though that is good) but for the fellowship. A "local" where real people get together and talk. The publican is Irish and delightful. The dog is great as well.

Hey Bro. 10 -- why so negative? There is nothing negative about this Irish pub. Has a wholesome family atmosphere. Regulars are introduced to newcomers. No bad language or loud music. Real conversation (not like we are having in front of a computer) is possible. I can't say enough good about it. Be fair.

Instead of inviting people to Mountain Tops chapel, why don't you take them to the Irish Pub, George?

The owner with the dog is Brendan Doyle. He's been in this area for years although he is originally from Ireland. He's a great guy that was the Priest at the local Catholic Church several years ago. It's nothing fancy but provides a laid back no frills atmosphere to talk with friends over a beverage.

Do they serve food, or is it just a bar? If they do, what sort of menu do they have? Do they have a website? Thanks

I cant wait to check it out.. Its a shame they don't do food too, other than hot dogs somebody posted?. Love Irish stew, and anything lamb!

Irish music is fun to listen too, so sounds like it might be cool.
