Then keep your ass in the house and don't call 911 while totting a rifle.

what do you suggest he does? Stay @ home & cry for the rest of his life? I know he feels bad about what he had to do let it rest & leave him alone already!

I agree. I don't think we need to ask for his resignation. I think we need to promote him to Sheriff and put him in a tank to patrol the streets of Fannin County. I bet he could resolve the breakins and then we wouldn't have to have the criminals.

I'm glad to hear he was able to laugh. I have been worried about him as I am sure it is a hard thing to go through. Worried about Pops family too. But I think I have more compassion than many of you on here!

I know BOTH familes & am sure Michael wasn't laughing because he had to shoot a man. He is not a murderer! He did not plan to kill a person that night. Cops shouldn't have to go through this crap. If they have to worry daily if they are going to be slandered or sued for doing their job then we wouldn't have any police anywhere. Yall need to pray for both families to have peace. Suing Michael will not bring Pops back but drag his character & Michaels through the mud in court trying to see who is a better person. Dirt will be dug up on both sides. Both mens will suffer & it wonbring back Pops.

Yep,lets put him in a tank with a machine gun that way instead of puttng 2 bullets in someone he can just rip them in half, hummmmm like he "almost" did with the old man,and lets get fighting pit bulls to baby sit the kids after all they are trained,oh but they couldnt use common sense, like someone else DIDNT!!!!!!
Sueing Earley may not be the best thing to do but it is the right thing. Attorneys are doin wrongful death all the time, and digging up someones past and dragging them thru the mudd, well I cant see that it will hurt the old man,his family knows who and what he was,so lets just let them dig up the secrets that lie in hiding and see what comes up.

It may not bring pops back but it would keep someone else safe possibly. I don't think Earley is a murderer, by intent. But I do think his lapse in judgement cost a man his life. So I say sue him. The truth needs to be told. Otherwise, it might not be an accident the next time, who knows.

what was his lapse in judgement? Pops had a gun & didnput it down. Michael felt threatened I would to if I didn't personally know the man with the gun not listening to me. He may have thought Pops was the prowler for all we know. I wouldn't know if I drove up on him if he was a prowler or the owner.

Just what makes you think he told pops to put the gun down?? I didn't hear that on the 911 tape, what I heard was man with a gun then shots fired shots fired, all in less than one minute time. Too quickly judged the situation, that's my opinion

I posted th link on one of my earlier posts but i will post it again in a few minutes just give me a few. Pops called the police the 911 call is him, and it does NOT allow any time for earley to have said that or if by chance he did it did not allow time for pops to respond. Also pops wore a hearing aid, and could not hear with out it, the hearing aid was on his coffee table, along with his phone, but his wallet is gone, supporting the claim of intruders which is what he was reporting when earley went to the call. The complete story is at fetchyournews.com/fannin . Here is the link to the 911 call,,,,,,, http://fannin.fetchyournews.com/archives/3299...

1.
You would not have heard Early say a thing unless he pressed the button on the mike which does not mean he did not issue commands.
2.
Just how long should Early have waited before he might have been shot.
3.
Since Pops could not of heard Early w/o the hearing aid would issuing commands done any good?

It appears that u think Early saw a man w/a gun and just started shooting.

Please think.

"Pops called the police the 911 call is him, and it does NOT allow any time for earley to have said that or if by chance he did it did not allow time for pops to respond"agree 100% all I heard wa"man with a gun" & "shots fired" also. So no one is @ fault in my book.

100% correct. Finally someone said it. We can't say Michael said or didn't say anything because he didn't press his mic button except to say "man with a gun" & shots fired" therefore I see no wrong doing just a shame it had to happen

And it appears to me that you are one sided and not open to any option other than the one in your mind. You said please think, ok. I think no one likes you or your comments for the most part, and I strongly suspect if you didn't have a computer, and keyboard, you wouldn't have a friend in this world. Just what I think !!
