Does Todd still work for the Sheriffs Dept? If so than I'd say beating Kirby this badly in this poll won't bode well for him.

If you look at all the people listed above to vote on, All of those people has a past that will be an issue come election time. They all owe someone something, or has something to "HIDE" or has something they don`t want told, "BAGGAGE", you will see come time. There must be a "NEW SHERIFF a New FACE" not the same, Good Ole Boys, someone that will enforce the law as it is written, not interpreted to fit, who it might be, or who they might know, but the letter of the "LAW". Everyone knows the difference between right and wrong, so before you break the law, don`t do it, then ask for forgiveness.

If I were Sheriff and saw these polls I'd be sweaing bullets. OTOH if I were Todd Pack and beating the Sheriff this badly I'd watch out for my job. Of course we all know the real candidate isn't in these polls.

If you think this poll is bad look at the results from the other Sheriffs poll here. This guys getting "WAXED".

Do you think Dane will still have his "job" in 2 years.

Well it seems that either Johnny or Todd would deliver a defeat to Kirby at the polls if the elections were today.

anyone who supports the radical ass tea party and the way they want to set up a fascist theocracy based on a warped view of christianity as Dane does, should not be voted back in.

Anyone on the republican ballot and supported by the tea party doesn't give a shit about people and when they piss off the masses such as how Wisconsin's governor has done they effectively act like a 5 year old that doesn't want to listen and basically shove their hands in their ears and say "can't hear you, can't hear you, can't hear you".

I know we are in Fannin but there is one thing I can say I was taught by my old school grandpa...that was that Roosevelt was a democrat and helped bring this country out of the Great Depression and to always trust the dem side over the republican side. All the republicans have as an example is Reagan who tripled the national debt and had the largest tax increase in our history.

I think Fannin and the rest of the country start realizing that stuff such as gun rights aren't going anywhere, that whether a republican or a democrat is in charge abortion and homosexuals rights as couples will always be around and doesn't matter who is in charge of things.

At this point from what I've personally witnessed, a dog could have this county in better shape than Mr. Kirby and his rich, elitist supporters who pay him under the table to do their bidding within the county.

You may know a few facts regarding higher government but you don't know crap about local government. Dane Kirby has done more for this Sheriff's Office than all the other elected Sheriff's put together. He is fair and unbiased in his decisions. He does what is right no matter what. Beleive me I have been on the receiving end of having to be told that he wouldn't do something because he felt that it wasn't the right thing to do and there was another side to the story. In the end I had to agree with him and move on. Fannin County Won't get a better or more honest man than Sheriff Kirby. That is a FACT!
Set the record straight

At no time in the history of this country has any party created more debt than this one. Under this POS in the WH today the debt has increased by more than all the others combined. Thankfully the Tea Party is "CUTTING" that and showing "UNIONS" the door.

Wow! Lots of votes being cast on this issue and some really interesting comments by thoughtful individuals. A few posts a bit "way out" and "off topic" but all in all this has been a pretty good discussion. It will be interesting to see who the candidates who actually run for this office are and how the coming campaign for Sheriff actually plays out.

All the guys listed as choice for Sheriff 2012 are decent individuals, however Dane Kirby is doing a good job as sheriff, no one will please all the people..so stop trying to a find a one size fits all sheriff. I will be supporting Dane Kirby.
