If you knew someone who lived there and asked, it would probably be okay. Better still, just show up with your wedding party and clergyman, go in (doors always open) and have the ceremony. Don't ask.

The chapel is open for prayer. I see no problem with a having a Christian service of marriage held there. Get off your high horse Citizen. Who gave you the right to police the chapel, which is open for prayer.
go back to Naples.

I just don't see how four or six people holding a brief act of Christian worship in the chapel is going to harm anything or violates the spirit of the bylaws and ordinances regulating our development. I think Roy Q would smile from his perch on high to know that his little chapel was being used. Actually, if the couple just did it, they would be out before the local police could find their way in.

wouldn't pay a dime to get married there or even want to see the place. I just thought it was pretty little spot, I didn't know I was going to get all the azzes that live there tied up in a knot about it.

I'm ashamed that comments were so rudely posted here by citizens of Blue Ridge when asked about a "Chapel" in their community. A place of worship being denied to anyone?

I went to Dalton once, and the people did look pretty scruffy. The ones who were white looked as if they stepped out of the Hee-Haw television show. The women were fat and unkempt; the men had big paunches and mouths full of tobacco, many of them wearing overalls. I say let's keep them over there.

Im not sure if you are still looking, but hubby and I just went hiking on Cherry Log mountain
About a mile up, came across a really cute little chapel on a lake. Easy to get too. Id say would seat maybe 25 tops. Stained glass and just picture perfect. If you are interested let me know, My husbands family live up there so I can find out more.:)

I heard it was being converted into a Mosque and soon the daily call to prayer will be broadcast through loudspeakers atop the building. President Obama is being invited to come and dedicate it. No, ham sandwiches, please.

I was just visiting there a few days ago. When your inside, you will see a calendar sitting on the pulpit. You can fill in what date you would like to use this little chapel.

The man that built this did not want people calling police when someone is using this little place for something special as long as you respect it. It's why its there.

If not, it would be locked all the time.

Why you would want to be like this, is sad.

The place only holds maybe 10 people, so its not like a big party would be going in there.

Can I bring my dog (small)? We are up from Naples, and I don't want to leave him alone in our rental cabin. I was surprised to you you had a group in Blue Ridge. WOW!
