Actually, we are still getting a bargain. Check our millage rates versus other counties around us. Also, the millage rate here is less than half of most counties surrounding metro Atlanta. What you really have to worry about are the assessed values. Fannin, for the most part, is very conservative on assessed values. I really dont think we have much to complain about here. But some people will gripe reardless.

yes plenty to gripe about majority of our taxes are school taxes all of its not going for education this puts a burden on people with fixed income they probeley should start cutting some of the salaries an im not talking about the little man bus drivers, lunch room workers janitiors, etc yes if you wont to compare counties taxpayers in other counties get a break at age 62 or above Fannin county is at 70 or death which ever comes first an that's if you ask if not they will not tell you.

And in turn those teachers who bucked up, studied hard, and work everyday trying to improve others lives end up paying the residual debt that the uninsured create... You can't be a pimp and aprostitue too... Which are you?

Not a teacher, one of those hardworking people you mention, but I appreciate the work they do and the sacrifices they make for our kids. Maybe you should do less complaining and devote some of your time to helping others out. They go far and beyond the requirements of their jobs!
