Lamar is soo concerned with spending money for a new road from the Farmers Market, his little baby, out to the red light. He says they will be no way out of Weaver Rd heading east onto hwy 76, once the D.O.T. widens the road. Well Lamar think about emergency services, think about the people of the county and not just your "money sheds". He is worried that people visiting the Farmers Market will not be able to turn left out of Weaver Rd , what about ambulances? We need Weaver Rd to intersect at the red light , so emergency services can have easy access all year.i stead of worrying about visitors going to the farmers market a few months out of the year.

The great earth moving enterprise at the flea market is more about transferring SPLOST slush funds to no bid contract winners than it is about access to the venue. Emergency services is not a consideration.

Heard a statue in the works for Lamar will be erected at the Farmers Market and a smaller one at Meeks Park in honor to him. The Chamber is trying to get it organized with the City donation of money. When will all this happen? In a year, maybe two. About time!!

This county needs jobs, not a Statue. This is the worst place I have ever lived to get a decent job in hands down.. I donít blame the youth of this county for moving away. Their is no reason to stay..

Its mostly fast food and places geared toward the tourists, and those jobs don't pay anything. Why do you think so many of working age commute to Gainesville and the northern suburbs of Atlanta? Its forever geared toward retirees who move their money into our local banks. The youth have nothing

Yeah they gear for tourists but they also keep building sub divisions to bring people in. With all these new homes being built, they need to accommodate the people that already live here. We need things other than fast food and Walmart!

Ever hear of supply and demand? The locals demand fast food and fast food is what they get. Captain D's and Dairy Queen are coming to Blairsville!

The only subdivisions I see going in are geared toward wealthy retirees from Florida and Atlanta. The locals live in trailers and old shacks with junk cars in the front yard.

There's a ton of money to make in this county right now whether you are blue collar or white collar. Get your lazy rear end off the couch and apply yourself.

Which is why we never buy "local." We go in the different directions and get better choices, better deals and perfect taxes!
