A professional and experienced city manager will help steer our city out of its financial and political quagmire. Who runs the city day to day today? The City clerk? The Finance Director - what does Mr.Anasta do anyway for $100K?

Time to get serious and hire professionals ...not political cronies ...not family ...not paying back a favor ... Conduct a nationwide search ... A good city manager is saavy, understands the stakeholders, knows how the city works, can forge deals, and can execute plans both short term and long term. We don't have that today.

Anastasia has retired. Vargas has promised that job to Don Peloquin at $125k, dear.

I agree. That is the only way we will move Blue Island forward and if Vargas promises that job to Don, let it be known now so the residents can cast their votes accordingly. I for one am very disappointed with the candadites for Mayor. We should select a write in!

Bob Rita will be making the decisions, on who gets hired to what position. From Street Sweeper, to Finance Director, and every job in between.

It is time to hold the ELECTED OFFICIALS RESPONSIBLE for creating the DEBT!
It is to VOTE THEM OUT!
It is time to Pay Bills and face the Debt before anyone else looses their Home!

Unfunded pensions: nearly 40.5 million.
Debts and liabilities: more than 17.5 million.

I heard Peloquin is actually guiding Pataska with his whole campaign. Wouldn't surprise me if Pataska gave Donnie a job... seeing how well they get along. Seeing eye to eye on home rule and all.

Every one of the candidates with the exception of Mr. Stevo have offered Donny a job. They are trying to get the "Peloquin" vote.
