Anyone else hear that the decision on the 1500 claims is over and checks are starting to go out. My cousin called this morning and said by the 22nd of this month all checks should be sent out.

This post reminds me of a saying. Where there's a will.......there's a relative. No offense just a observation sarcastic............... but an observation just the same.

Ya I know the only reason I mention it is becuase cousins daughter works for lawyers and her friend works with the lawyers that handled the case that is how she got the info. She also said the 1500 that were originally denied, stayed denied the judge decided the lawyers and Clark Admin did their job correctly was the ruling. Who knows tho the girl knows my cousin is also in the suit and may have been trying to make her feel better about it.

My sis called today,, no word on payment but she pretty much verified everything XBI said. I guess some of the 1500 were really pissed that the Claims ad. wouldn't take their word without documentation, and that's been a thorn in the side of the process.

But the lady today said that the court would pretty much uphold the findings and grant release, when that happens the women told my sister checks would start going out immediately.

But again, who knows if were being told the truth or just pacification.

well i called today and asked where i stood with my claim.I was told there is no record of them receiving my form.I guess i messed up and did not read it close enough. the women i spoke with siad one...i was supposed to make copies of my form two.. i guess it stated that if you did not receive a claim number card in two weeks that you were supposed to contact them.So seeing that i lived in three places in blue island durring that period i lose because she said she never got my paperwork and i did send it in on time but no record so no payment :O(

I had called yesterday. Didn't have a claim number. She asked a few questions gave me claim number and was told I was documented. Didn't ask when as it is when it is. But they were helpful !

I just called the Claims number to get an update and the woman who answered the phone was quite bitchy and rather vague. If they are sick of answering phone calls and questions, then maybe they should update their website with more current information.

I called today also and I am really beginning to think none of them know what is going on. The guy I talked did seem tired of having to take calls. I agree the website whould be updated with the coreect info as we all get told something different it seems. From what one of the girls that works for the lawyers says the checks are going out immediately and the 1500 denied stayed denied. The guy today basically said they are still going over them and checks are not going out til next month. We are getting one big run around from the Clarkclaimsadministration. Who do we believe? The mailman when he puts the check in our mail box.

I think Larry hit the nail on the head. Many of these people will probably be out of a job once the checks are sent out. Which would explain why they are starting to gat snippidy with us. When someone comes on and says they got their check in the mail, then I will know what is true.
