Who doesn't love a good party? If your running for office it's you when your opponent has overwhelming support at his party's fundraiser. Ive been watching primarily these 3 candidates and have asked each of them about their platforms. The following is a synopsis of the answers in the simplest of terms with more to follow: Brown wants sweeping changes in city management, create jobs for Blue Islanders, is a fan of Don Peloquin (stated so at the recent CASA meet the candidates) Stevo wants city finances posted on line. indicates that the residents have been held Hostage by the Peloquin administration. The Jawa is an example of not informing the residents. Vargas wants to bring Blue Island together, will work for improvements in community policing, plans on working with professionals on bring business to blue Island, working on a plan to schedule infrastructure improvements and has the team to do it. Stay tuned I will be giving my observations as more info is given to me.

I am sorry but all these candidates first need to find and make money for the city. Even if it means cutting city jobs. Tax payers are tried of paying for mistakes and law suits. We need to get a strong tax base from new business and balance the budget.

Our residence of this city need to file a class action suit against our local government. How much of our tax dollars pay for lawsuits. The mismanagement of our city government is liablelist. And NO ONE PAYS EXCEPT US THE TAXPAYER. Let us put better educated, better informed people in office so they can hit the ground working, not on the job training. This City needs to start getting better now not in 4 to 5 years. Do a good job your first term before asking for an extension. If a company treated their stock holders (and that's what we all are) like this city has been run, we would have fired the entire board of director's.

Certainly, the taxpayers are fed up why do you think many chose not to run again.

Vargas has very limited hours at his place.

Tommy Brown, interesting. The only way he ran the recreation center was the city paid all the bills. Is this really the person we want running this City. Maybe he should hold another gambling party. Bring your own dice.

the Stevo campaign think that they are the underdog. they are working hard though, not that desperate as some posters are claiming.there are so many fake posts in these kind of forums, what can you expect.anonymity is a friend to some, hurtful to the victim of false accusations.

they will survive win or lose.
