How true is the word on the street?
Joe Kosman.Tom Hawley. Mike Janko.Domingo Vargas.Tommy Brown.Ray cantello. Are they all running for the position?

With the exception of Tom Hawley all members of Peloquineers Club.

Still is there any truth to whose running for the position?

What is needed is someone who can balance the budget, foster new and better ideas for the community; clearly more of the same is NOT going to cut it.

Domingo Vargas is the Mayor's pick from what I have heard. If any of the others - outside the Coalition party - are planning to run a strong organization will be needed.

The Coalition party has not served our town well --neither has the Rita group - and it is time to get BI back on track.

It is up to us to hold them accountable and to elect responsible, dedicated and qualified candidates.

Seems we the community, have a dilemma on our hands where it concerns suitable mayoral candidates.
Let's be honest, those who may or may not have their hats in the ring do have drawbacks, such as being in bed with the Coalition Party. Mike Jenko has a serious heart condition, so strike him from the list. Ray Cantello has business interests that preclude him from even being Alderman much less Mayor..strike him from the list. Tommy Brown has his heart in the right place but could not elocute out of a hat. He can not get his ideas across to anyone other than those who can understand what he saying. He's a community activist par excellence but as a far seeing elected official, he's wanting. Nancy Rita is a political hack like the other member of the Rita family. Candace Carr is great at what she does..selling assorted garden and home items, but can she sell the town on a consensus. No. That leaves Doming Vargas. He also has his heart in the right place and may have the power of the Hispanic community behind him but does he have far-reaching imaginative ideas to revitalize the town? Who knows? Does he have the abilities to lead, but to keep Peloquin happy he keeps them under wraps? Maybe. Can Vargas harness the will to move forward & eliminate the Peloquin butt-kissers? Who knows? Anybody else? Rodriguez? Does she even live in town anymore?

The only person suitable enough & with the experience and prestige is Fred Biloto. The lawsuit against him will soon disappear. He has the intelligence and imagination.

Vargas is a Peloquineer. He is a follower. A good man, but not a leader.

Well keep in mind Rodriguez has worked in the public schools for awhile so she has experience already being a public servant- I voted for her, sorry she lost.

are you kidding me... He has nothing. He should have resigned after the pool fiasco. If you want change in blue island for sure Fred is not your man. He is a twit. Suffers from a lack of commons sense as well as compassion. He isn't fit to run the fourth of July parade much less run the whole town.

You need to find a person who isn't connected to any of these chumps. Find someone to clean up the whole town including any apointees. It's an absolute joke. You have a bunch of people working and running stuff in the town whose iq is probably below 50. Get rid of them. All of them. Start new. Try something different. Whatever you are trying to accomplish isn't working. Get a clue.

The only elected official in the town with more than half a brain is mark p. maybe encourage him to run. His ideas are good. He is extremely educated. And is devoted to making the town better. Not just paying Lip service. Rita should be a bad name in that town. Ask yourself what have any of them done for you lately? If you can't answer stop thinking about them as worthy candidates.

Voters guess what you get what you deserve. Get informed before you head off to vote or guess what you will be stuck with more of the same lousy leadership.
