Holmes and Hauser seem to have forgotten why they were elected to the board and why they are in office.
Mr. Hauser, Coalition/Progressive Blue Island Independent Party member would like to be elected as Clerk for Blue Island, he and his party members have NOT served the best interest of the community, and most likely will continue to do what they've been doing all along.
My family can NOT vote for him or his party.

I hear Heuser hired his drinking buddy Kent Mavity and promoted him twice despite being incompetent and a DUI arrest..
Thank you for this information and that is only the tip of the ice burg My kids know of this man from school and I just checked this out: Mavity has been arrested for battery as well. Please scroll down on this link to Mokena 5/10/08. This just gets worse.

This is no joke, these are facts, I have children in the district and Heuser has some nerve using his position on the school board to provide jobs to people with Mavity's kind of history. Again the safety of the the kids and staff are in jeapordy all in the name of providing jobs to unskilled and law breaking relatives and friends. He also should join Holmes and RESIGN IMEDIATLEY FROM THE SCHOOL BOARD !! How can this man run for city clerk!! How much is he willing to TAKE from a community?

Yes she is related to Mr Holmes. But let's give some credit to the board. They found some discrepincies with the head of building and grounds and removed him. They did their jobs as elected officials.

Hello to all, my name is Chrishello Bonds and I am the WRITE IN CANDIDATE for the Board of Education Member for school district 218. First, I would Thank You all in advance for your support! I believe it is TIME FOR CHANGE!!! It is time for NEW advocates for our children!!! At this time, I am pursuing my passion of advocating for our children and hold all parties accountable for the needs of the children. We can not do this alone, we need to create a triangular relationship with the school, community and families. Electing me as a B.O.E. School Board member is one avenue I can advocate for our children. Next, I Am NOT related to ANYONE at the school, on the board or running for election. Finally, I will be posting my fundraiser information in the near future so please stay tuned!!! Once again, I thank you in advance for all your support!!

Yes, this was after the board cut him a bonus of $218,260 in a lump sum over above his salary. Has anyone figured out why they did this? You can see this information for yourself on the Annual Statement of Affairs. Michael Graham paid regular salary and then a payment for 218,260 only it does not state what the payment was for. If you ask me, this looks very suspicious.

Miss Bonds, In the above post Astro the Bulldog seems to believe you are related to Mr. Holmes, who is sitting on the board of District 218. Could you please clear this up? Are you related to or connected in any way to anyone on the board of School District 218? With all do respect the community would like to know that someone is not running for this position for the sole purpose of carrying out agendas of standing board members and that with the election of new board members there will truly be a fresh start for the children of District 218 and not the same old business as usual.

District 218 voters beware, Back in 2011 Ron Pratl narrowly won his seat on the board back and before he could even be sworn in, suddenly resigned. The board was not able to come to a consensus between the incumbent Linda Flanagan-Vahl or Ron Pratl's brother Don Pratl who did not run for the position. The seat today sits empty. I find this a little strange that the board did not choose Vahl and award her the seat after all she did run for the position and only lost to Ron Pratl by a very slim margine. Now that it is election time Don Pratl is running uncontested and will now be placed in his brother's old seat. I guess they are keeping it the family. Now we have Mr. Holmes, the public is calling for his resignation and he has yet to listen to them. We now have a so called write in candidate that for some reason could not timely fill out all the necessary petitions and filings to be put on the ballot. Could this also be a way of keeping it in the family? If said write in candidate is elected will Holmes then resign knowing his objectives will be protected? For some reason this board doesn't want any outsiders in. They are not concerned for the kids just protecting their butts and self given district incentives. BEWARE!

218 is corrupt from top down. How many St. Leger and family (wojhiechowski?) do they need. He is an asst. superintendent and funny how his family is all employed. Then you have the guidance counselor at Richards who was fired by Eisenhower and rehired a month later at Richards. Oddly enough, rumor is she was related to Johhny Holmes. And the building supervisor at Richards who was fired after he wrote up another custodian for sleeping on the job. After he was fired, that custodian was given the building supervisor job. He was also related to JH. See a pattern? Its not the only one. There is another guy at Eisenhower who was given a department head position after his first year in education. He is friends with the superintendent's wife. That board and administration is corrupt.
