I just heard Bimbo Collins has passed away. Regardless of what you felt about him, he was a Willow Sprinds original and will be missed by many.

I thought a lot of 'Bim.' I got acquainted with him over 20 years ago and grew to appreciate his spirit, as he was NOT whom I presumed him to be. Though I haven't seen or spoken with him in over a decade, I feel that the world is a poorer place and I will miss him. I only wish that so many of the general population - myself included, at times - were not so judgemental based upon appearances or reputation. I believe the world would be a more gracious, loving, and tolerable place if we based our opinions and preferences upon that which resides in the heart of man, for that is where the value of human spirit lies. It's a shame that so many miss out on the rare spirit based upon so many prejudices that society deals so freely - social class, formal education level, race, nation of origin, hair length, tattoos, etc. If you were to meet Jesus Christ and John the Baptist on the stree some evening, with their long hair and dressed in robes and in bare feet, would you even say,'Hello?,' or would you simply look away and walk on by? See what I mean? There is no doubt in my mind where Bim Collins is right now - among like-spirited souls with God Almighty. My condolences and heart-felt prayers are with the friends and family of a true original.

No, I don't think they are directly related. There are so many Collins families and it is really hard to know who is related to who.
I have asked around trying to find her for you but no luck so far.
