I have to wonder who is buying all of these homes in these developments? With an excess inventory of existing homes, how could anyone be planning new developments? Why can't people buy existing homes and do renovations, it's ridiculous that developers feel the need to use every single speck of open space to build their ugly, cookie cutter developments. This is especially poignant at a time when more and more people are moving back into cities and towns because oil prices are becoming increasingly unfordable, making commuting long distances not an option.

Jealous to live in a prefab, shoddy house that is the same as every other one, be it in NJ, PA, Fl etc? I don't think so..
With computer's today, why can't they build nicer developments? Trees (decent trees) and landscaping (decent) Because people want something that looks nice but in the end, is shoddy.. Re Troll Bros and Hovnanian (sp?) Future ghettos..
I also agree with the other poster. Who is buying these McMansions and why are developers being allowed to build mroe when others are sitting vacant?

There is something I do not fully understand but causes concern when developers initiate zoning changes.
