Winging It: Allow cell-phone calls in flight? No way

Let me clarify this first: I am not opposed to using a smart phone or a laptop to check e-mail or search the Internet while cruising in an airliner at 35,000 feet.

Yes so that bombers can have access to talking to people in the air, or to use as a trigger.

This raises an interesting question: Are people able to chat online in chat rooms while in flight? Are they able to use SKYPE?
